Pleated Dress

This past Saturday I went to a party for my friend’s baby. The event was not formal, but still a dressy affair. I picked a dress that I have had for a while, but never got the chance to wear. It is a plain, sea foam green dress with an empire waist and pleated skirt. The dress has spaghetti straps, which is too cold for this time of year. That paired up with the fact that the dress is plain, I decided to wear a sparkly sweater. As always, any fashion/jewelry items still available for purchase (to my present knowledge) will be linked below!

Since the sweater has enough bling, I skipped the extra jewelry and wore only a ring. I absolutely love this ring! People.com is my savior with this ring. I saw a post they had about it in one of those “styles for less” type posts (not sure if that’s the exact name of the section). Multiple celebrities have been spotted wearing an XO ring like this one that I’ve got. Of course, theirs are probably made out of platinum and diamonds for sure. The ring People Magazine directed me to is from Joyus and is made of crystals. The celebrity version costs over $5,000 and the Joyus version was $58!

For my makeup….

Face: Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Perfecting Primer, Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation mixed w/ Wet n Wild Coverall Foundation, Benefit Erase Paste, Smashbox High Definition Concealer, Neutrogena Mineral Powder, BareMinerals Well Rested, BareMinerals Mineral Veil, Milani Baked Bronzer, BareMinerals Luminizer, BareMinerals Ready Blush (French Kiss), MAC Fix+
Eyes: Lorac Behind the Scenes Primer, Lorac (Indulge in White Chocolate), Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara, Wet n Wild Brow Kit
Lips: Philosophy Lip Shine (Pink Frosted Animal Cracker)

The Lorac palette is part of a holiday set (Sweet Temptations) from 2 years ago – it came with 4 “chocolate bars” – so cute! I decided to wear the Philosophy lip shine because it is smaller than a regular sized lip gloss and more compact to fit in my clutch. This still turned into a fail though because I didn’t account for fitting my car keys into my clutch once I got to the restaurant!

So that’s the look I came up with! Hope you all have had a great start to your week so far!

Thanks, Lena! The cardigan is so fun, but a little itchy because of the sequins haha. Unfortunately, the pleats didn’t show up too well in the picture and I didn’t realize until way later or else I would’ve taken a close-up shot of them!
