Beach Exploring & Wedding [Guest] Bells
On Saturday, I had some time to relax and explore the sights before I had to get back to my hotel and get ready for my friends’ wedding. The day was a beautiful, warm, sunny day despite the weather forecast which predicted an overcast, cool day — perfect for walking around the beach and for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. Here’s a look at my day through pictures (and some captions)!
Sweater: Love Culture

Brunch at W Cafe in Newport Beach was amazing. I enjoyed my meal very much as did my two friends. We found the restaurant through Yelp and it’s a little bit hidden, set behind some shops through a little garden walkway. It seems like a nice neighborhood spot and it was definitely a winner in our books!
I had a flat bread topped with sundried tomatoes, red bell peppers, onions, jalapenos, cheese and a fried egg. It was served with fresh fruit as well.
Then, we explored the actual beach at Newport Beach a bit, walking past all the beachfront homes and onto the pier.
After getting back to the hotel, I got ready for the wedding. I redid my makeup and curled my hair. Loose curls to give a beach wave to my locks. Donned my dress, which is one of those dresses that when you put it on you immediately think to yourself “ah this fits perfectly” which instantly always makes you feel better. I love this dress. The lace accents give a very slim, yet curvey silhouette and I think can make any body type look good. I love that I got it on sale at Nordstrom Rack too!
Dress: Erin Fetherston via Nordstrom Rack
Shoes: Lulu Townsend via DSW
Necklace: JCrew Factory
Purse: Guess via Macy’s
The wedding ceremony and reception were gorgeous as were the bride and groom!
I had a fabulous time dancing and laughing with friends and wish the newlyweds nothing but love and happiness!

So many parts of the wedding were DIY. You would have loved it!

It was beautiful – they even made their own lawn games for during cocktail hour like corn hole and giant sized jenga! I can imagine your wedding being filled with beautiful DIY creations! I wish I was crafty enough to do all that! Maybe by the time I get married I’ll be a bit more crafty haha

Wow!! That sounds so fun! We ended up doing more DIY than we thought, just to save money. It was really helpful! 🙂

I think that can help make the whole thing more memorable though!

It really did! Plus, we still have a lot of the things from our wedding, since we made them ourselves! 🙂
