2 Looks – 1 Work Day

There are only 2 work days left to the school year for me! I still have a few things to do though such as cleaning out my classroom and prepare for Tuesday night’s graduation, which I’m the host for (eek! I have a fear of microphones). I’ll be posting about that in a few days to share how that went and share my look!

As the school year winds down, it’s been a lot of finishing up things and having some fun. We had field day for the high schoolers on Thursday at a nearby park which is huge.

For the day outdoors, in the sun, I wore jeans, a tee and brought a tote bag with me for my essentials.

Not pictured is my Kate Spade watch that has a reversible band. For field day I wore it on the light tan/beige side.

Wearing this outfit and sitting outside, potentially sweating for a few hours is all well and fine except later that afternoon I was also set to help out at the 8th grade step-up ceremony! So I needed to bring a change of clothes and some makeup to freshen up in case I did get all sweaty and gross looking – the forecast said it was going to be humid and 90 degrees!

I brought a little makeup bag of some essentials that would help me freshen up. I brought a MAC lipstick, some powder, a Wet n Wild eyeshadow, MAC Fix+, concealer and some perfume.

Luckily, I wasn’t all gross after field day – at least I don’t think I was! Since field day ended around noon I think we were spared of the really hot sun and I spent a majority of the morning in the shade. Therefore, I didn’t have to do a complete overhaul, but I did use my makeup to freshen up and I changed into a dress.

I absolutely love this blouson dress I picked up from Target. It fits so well and it is super comfortable. The cobalt blue is so bright, bold and fun, and the fitted black & white skirt is the perfect pairing. I love that the stripes on the skirt are at all angles because it’s a fresh take on the striped look. The sides are open and show the attached tank. I also love the split pleating on the front as I think it’s a super flattering look for anyone.

So I changed into this dress, flipped the band on my watch to the white side, freshened up my makeup and voila!
