Birthday Arm Candy

My birthday was two weeks ago and I was lucky enough to receive a few gifts from friends. I also treated myself to a gift. I’m not normally one to show off my gifts, but since I got a few gifts that were all bracelets and my gift to myself was a new watch, I thought it would be fun to show off my new arm candy.

I love watches and when I’m working I wear one every day. If I ever forget to put one on I feel lost at work all day. Being a teacher, it’s really important that I keep track of the time and I can’t always take my phone out to check the time. So I treated myself to this two toned Marc by Marc Jacobs watch which I absolutely love. I got it through Macy’s and it was only available online. It was a splurge, but if you are a watch lover like myself you’ll know that it’s actually reasonable for a watch (or so I like to tell myself). To make it even better though, when I went to Macy’s to get some links taken out so that the watch would fit my tiny wrists, the awesome woman working at the counter said there was a sale going on and worked her magic to give me the sale price and credit my card!

Next up, I got 2 Stella & Dot bracelets from my bestie. These are my first Stella & Dot bracelets and I love them. I always hear about the company especially on YouTube so I’m happy to have these two bracelets. The daintier bracelet pulls closed which is great for my wrists and it’s a friendship tie!

Last, I got a Lokai bracelet from one of my oldest friends. I was really excited about this because I follow the company on Instagram and always love the pictures. If you don’t know Lokai bracelets are supposed to be about finding a balance in your life. The black bead contains mud from the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on earth. The white bead contains water from Mount Everest, the highest point on earth. I think it’s a really cool idea and I definitely want to try taking some cool pictures with it like they share on their Instagram page. Seriously, check out their Instagram, you won’t be disappointed!
