VMA Fashion Picks
MTV’s Video Music Awards, VMAs, were last night and so begins awards season. I browsed through a bunch of the red carpet looks and saw some really crazy ensembles, which was to be expected. The looks that usually top my list though are ones that I personally would want to wear or wish I could wear and that does not include totally out there looks or anything too outrageous. From what I saw, I have picked 4 favorite looks from last night.

Vanessa Hudgens looked beautiful in this Naeem Khan gown. The floral appliques, the plunging neckline, the blush tone of the dress, and her long wavy hair all work together to give her a very ethereal, grecian goddess look.

Karlie Kloss in Louis Vuitton looked like a knockout in this simple yet sexy rust colored gown. The gown is so simple with it’s solid color and embellished trim, but the cut is what makes it stand out. It’s the kind of gown that shows enough for it to be sexy, but not too much where it crosses the line into distasteful like Miley Cyrus’s “outfit”……

Martha Hunt in Georges Chakra might be my favorite look of the night. This black, sequins number is fun and flirty. It is the perfect look for the VMAs because after all it is an MTV awards show and it’s not as formal as the Grammy’s.

Chrissy Teigen is my last pick of the night. I think her dress mixes the two worlds of formal and party perfectly. Awards show = formal, Music Awards Show and MTV at that = party.
While I’m sure there were probably a few other looks that I missed and probably would have loved, these were my top 4 of the tens of ones I saw.

It was bad! I know she’s pregnant and all but there are definitely ways to still look good in formal wear while pregnant! Definitely the wrong dress for her. It made her look probably twice the size than she actually is.

Oh my gosh right! It literally looked like they had to tie her into it. I bet Kanye picked it, since he seems to run her wardrobe. He’s gross.

Oh my gosh NO WAY JOSE! Haha. The sad thing is that I think a LOT of young people would, just to “be funny.” But without realizing that it would have disastrous effects on the country! 🙁
