Photo Challenge: Transition

Most of us have already transitioned from fall decor to winter or Christmas. Many of us have also seen the transition between seasons already take place. So when The Daily Post posted their latest photo challenge, “Transition”, ideas probably wouldn’t have come to mind immediately for me had it not been the week post Thanksgiving.

Like many people who celebrate Christmas in the US, Christmas decorating begins promptly after Thanksgiving. My family always puts up the tree, lights, and other decorations the day after Thanksgiving weather permitting.

Swapping out fall decorations for Christmas ones was the perfect “Transition” photo challenge response for me. My DIY acorns went away and down came the fall door decor. Up went the Christmas wreath and lights.

While testing out a string I thought a snapshot of the lights held up with the fall door decor in the background presented the perfect setup for this photo challenge.
