Bandeau Tank & Sequins

It’s my last day of spring break and I’m not close to being mentally prepared to go back to work tomorrow! I know the next few weeks are going to be super busy and stressful at work, but  I have a few fun things to look forward to in the next few weeks so that’s keeping me going! Another thing that will definitely keep me going is by constantly creating content for the blog. All my fellow bloggers know that it takes time and work to put things together, but it never feels like a burden or anything to me because I love it so much! So with that in mind, I’m sharing the outfit I wore out in Atlantic City during my staycation/mini-getaway earlier this week.

If you have seen my posts sharing celebrity styles, especially red carpet looks, then you probably know I have a love for plunging necklines and deep v’s. But, I’ve mentioned before that I probably would never wear the look myself – I just love the look on them! Well, this top has a deep v, but the beauty of it is that there is a bandeau attached! So it’s a faux deep v in a way. I love this top so much!! I love that the bandeau is part of the shirt because it takes the guesswork out of figuring out what kind of bandeau would work best with the top or if you were going to be risqué and go with nothing underneath you’d have to figure out the whole double-sided tape thing. The bandeau that is attached to the front of the top is the perfect size too so my bra didn’t show at all.

I love the way this cobalt blue top falls and flows. It does not cling at all and actually gives a very slimming look. I can tell you for a fact that I was not feeling very slim in general, but this top and seeing myself in the mirror wearing this top did make me feel good!

It was a little chilly to wear a tank top out that night and I didn’t want to wear a coat because that would be a pain to carry around so I wore a sequined cardigan. This sequined cardigan will automatically dress up anything (not that this top needed any dressing up) and it’s so fun to wear on a night out.

I finished off the look with black jeggings, strappy wedge sandals, and a black purse with gold chain. I don’t remember where I bought the purse, which is why I didn’t list it above. I think I might’ve gotten it at H&M a few years ago, but I’m not positive. The sequined cardigan and deep v bandeau tank top are both from Express and I bought them 2 years and 6 months ago respectively so they’re not available anymore, but I did link to the pants I bought at Loft. I love the pants, they’ve got the perfect amount of stretch and stretch is key!

I was very happy with the way this look came together and it’s a good thing too because it’s the only “going out” outfit I brought with me!

Enjoy your Sunday and I’ll be back tomorrow with a food post from my mini-getaway! If you missed my sightseeing post and spa post from the trip, click here and here.

P.S. I redid the layout of my blog/chose a new theme. Talk about changing it up for spring. Hope you guys like it!
