Gentle Facial Scrubs
I don’t know about you, but this winter was rough on my skin. My skin was a lot drier than usual. On top of that, I think my skin has changed in general. Gone (at least for now) is an oily t-zone which I had for pretty much all my teens and most of my 20s and now I’m plagued with dry skin. My skin is also sensitive to certain products – some are just too harsh for my skin. Keeping all this in mind, I’ve been using and alternating between two different drugstore facial scrubs that have been gentle enough for me. I’ve been using Clean & Clear’s Blackhead Eraser Scrub and Neutrogena Naturals Pore Purifying Scrub.
The Clean & Clear scrub is nice and creamy with larger exfoliating beads. It has a pleasant soapy smell and I like the way it feels on my face.
The Neutrogena scrub has a sweet and slightly sour smell, which is definitely not my favorite smell, but it’s not horrible. This scrub has a grittier feel to it as opposed to the beady feel of the Clean & Clear.
While I love that both are supposed to be beneficial to the skin and remove impurities, blackheads and the like, I chose to use drugstore products instead of paying more for higher end scrubs for now since my primary purpose for using them is just to simply exfoliate and scrub away the dry/dead skin. I enjoy both of these products and with both of them being under $10, there’s no harm in trying them!
What are some scrubs that you love?

I tell you what I love. Garnier Micellar Water (I know, it’s not technically a scrub). It takes off EVERYTHING, from waterproof mascara to layers of cream foundation; it cleans out my pores without drying out my skin.
