Girls Night Out: LWD

For most of the year, LBDs (little black dresses) are the classic choice for a night out. But, for summer little white dresses, or LWDs are much more season appropriate. While you can pretty much wear black any time of year, a white dress is cooler and lighter for the warm weather. Not to mention it looks great against sunkissed skin!

So when Polyvore had a Girls Night Out: Summer Edition challenge, I knew I wanted to go with a LWD. I went with this pleated sleeveless dress for something carefree and easy. I really used the accessories to dress up the simple dress. The long tassel pendant necklace isn’t too dressy so it gives the look a more casual, trendy vibe whereas if I had paired it with a shorter statement necklace it would’ve looked much dressier. I chose a single bangle for a bracelet – a really cute Kate Spade enamel bracelet with adorable fruit slices. This bracelet makes me wish my wrists weren’t so small so I could wear adorable bracelets like this! The real sparkle comes from the glittery Kate Spade clutch and the light gold glittery heels. Gold might scream summer even more than a LWD!
