Luv Michael Originola Granola

Today’s post is about Luv Michael‘s Originola Granola. The story behind Luv Michael  is really cool. Michael is an 18 year old New York native with autism. He wanted to enroll in culinary school and when he was unable to, his parents helped create Luv Michael, a food based business so that their son and others with autism could be “active participants in society and lead happy, productive lives.” The goal of the business is to make healthy, quality product that “could provide income and a career for both Michael and other individuals with autism. Education is critical to Luv Michael’s mission and a custom curriculum is being created to foster learning and teach key skills to help those enrolled become employable.”

The whole idea of Luv Michael is so inspiring so I was thrilled that they sent me a batch of their Originola Granola to try out!

The granola is gluten free, nut free, dairy free, non GMO, and contains organic ingredients. Most importantly, how does it taste? I’m happy to tell you that it is very tasty! You can definitely taste the cinnamon in it, which I’m not complaining about since I love cinnamon. It’s also not too sweet, which is always good and has a nice crunch.

Each batch is hand mixed and packed by individuals, like Michael, with autism who Luv Michael likes to refer to as “Granologists.”

The granola is so yummy; their mission and cause is inspiring and admirable. One last thing to make this product even better is that all proceeds go to provide training and sustainable jobs for individuals on the autism spectrum. Definitely worth checking out for the cause and your taste buds!
