Kate Middleton’s Canada Style

This past week Prince William and Kate Middleton were in Canada for a series of official visits with their little ones in tow. I’ve long been a fan of Kate Middleton for her down to earth demeanor and her amazing style. I wish I was blogging back when they got married because that would’ve been so much fun to write about. Yes, I was one of those people who woke up early to catch the wedding live on TV before work.

As mentioned above, I absolutely love her fashion sense and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her wearing something I didn’t like. As the royal couple’s outings in Canada were recorded across multiple news sites throughout the week, I decided to round up her looks (some days included wardrobe changes) and share my thoughts.

Upon the family’s arrival they were greeted on the tarmac by Canada’s Prime Minister and Kate looked ever the classy fashionista with her blue Jenny Packham dress and Lock & Co. fascinator. Is it weird that I sometimes wish I lived in England solely because fascinators are more commonly worn there?

I love love love this red and white Alexander McQueen dress. The layered skirt and the button details are everything, not to mention the intricate pattern. I also love that her heels are a brighter red to stand out.

Looking more casual on Day 3 of their trip, Kate wore a checkered, collared shirt underneath a blue sweater with jeans from Zara. She also work a Holland and Holland trench style jacket and Penelope Chilvers boots that have long been loved by the princess. They are over 10 years old! Her well-loved boots and Zara jeans just goes to show she’s just like us. You know, except for the tiara.

Kate wowed that night in a red satin dress by Preen. She accessorized with the same maple leaf brooch she wore when they arrived. It is Queen Elizabeth’s diamond brooch and a nice nod to their host country.

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that green is my favorite color. I love this green Dolce & Gabbana dress. The silhouette, fit, bow, and gold or brass button detailing are perfect.

Keeping with her red trend on this trip, Kate wore this very sophisticated wool and cashmere blend coat from Carolina Herrera and accessorized with burgundy suede clutch.

That same day she changed out of her more formal wear including that red Carolina Herrera coat and changed into a more casual look – a grey wrap coat and a pair of cowboy boots.

The whole family attended a children’s party where Prince George enjoyed playing with a bubble gun and Princess Charlotte famously cuddled with a bunny. Looking ever the stylish demure woman, Kate wore cream pointelle-knit cotton blend dress from Chloé. I love the ruffled high neck-line and the knit design.

While visiting Haida Gwaii, an archipelago on the north coast of British Columbia, Kate broke out her cowboy boots once again. She wore a dark green blazer, ruffled top, and skinny jeans. She also had a headband in her hair and I actually really like her hair styled this way.

On their last day in Canada, Kate went back to off-the-rack, reasonably priced fashion with a white jacket and black skinny jeans, both from Zara. She also reportedly wore J.Crew flats.

What do you think of Kate Middleton’s style? Are you as big of a fan as me? What was your favorite look? My favorite might be the blue dress, fascinator, and maple leaf brooch she wore when they first arrived.
