Gray Mock Neck Sweater

Happy first day of spring! It doesn’t feel too spring like here today, but it’s slowly getting there. At least there’s no snow in the forecast this week. I hope you all had a great weekend. I saw Beauty & the Beast and will be writing about all my thoughts on it for tomorrow’s post!

Onto today’s post. There are two things that drew me to this mock turtleneck sweater. 1) It is from American Eagle’s “Ahh-Mazingly Soft” line and who can resist clothing items that are literally described as amazingly soft? 2) The open weave of the sweater reminds me of snowflakes.

I love the light grey of the sweater which plays in to the snowflake resemblance in the weave. I wanted to have a pop of color though so I decided to accessorize with this block necklace. The color of the necklace is named “mint cream”, but I don’t find anything minty about it. It is more of multi-toned yellow/green in my opinion. I think the mock neckline works really well with short to medium length necklaces. Short necklaces can be tricky with certain necklines of tops and sweaters, but it works really well with turtlenecks and mock necks.

I hope you have a great start to the week!
