Turtleneck With Side-Tie

Happy Wednesday! I’m one day closer to spring break! Since we’re still in that transitional weather period I’m sharing this outfit I wore to work a few weeks ago. Yes, it’s a turtleneck, but the sweater is extremely lightweight so it is perfect for this in-between weather. It’s made of a very thin knit so despite it being a turtleneck it’s not all that cold weather friendly.

Tied off tops are really popular right now and I love it. It reminds me of the 90s. I remember being a kid and wearing oversized t-shirts that I would either try to tie or use a hair tie to tie off and tuck under. Anyone else do that or remember doing that? The difference is back then I was tying off t-shirts and this one is a nice sweater…and this tie is built in so I’m not just randomly using the extra length of my sweater to tie a knot.

The turtleneck is a nice touch, but truth be told I’m not a huge turtleneck lover. I don’t really like things touching my neck snugly (this is why I can’t embrace the choker trend for myself), but since this one is pretty loose I was fine with it. The side-tie is really what sold me on this sweater anyway.

Hopefully you all have had a pleasant first half of the week. Now onto the second!
