Desert Harvest – Aloe Vera Gele
Aloe Vera is great for your skin and while many of us know it as a a skin soother after sunburn, but it can be used regularly for skin healing and as an anti-inflammatory. I’m always up for trying out skin products so when I received this Aloe Vera Gele from Desert Harvest I wanted to try it out.
This Aloe Vera Gele is made from 80% pure aloe vera concentrate. Desert Harvest describes it as: “a soothing, cold-processed gel formulated to relieve minor skin irritations. It contains all of the anti-inflammatory, pain relieving, and healing properties of the aloe plant in a high concentration. Desert Harvest Gelé contains the most therapeutic levels of aloe vera possible in a 100% Natural topical application and contains No Parabens.”
It’s great for treating skin irritations, minor burns, rashes, chapped skin, insect bites, etc. It can also be used all over the face under your makeup to improve your skin. I’ve heard that aloe vera can be used to help fade scars so I’ve been using it on some of my acne scars. It’s also good for reducing swelling so I’ve been dabbing it on some of my pimples to bring down the swelling and irritation. The gele is clear and soothing. The pump makes it easy and sanitary to put a small, pea sized amount on my finger and I just dab it on the spots I want to apply it. As it’s supposedly great for insect bites, this will be great for me in the summer when the mosquitos are out because I always get bitten up and my bites tend to swell up.
I’ve been using this for two weeks now, but not daily. It definitely feels soothing on my skin and hopefully soon I’ll see some real fading of my scars!
