Restyled: Christmas Plaid Cape

Can you believe it’s the weekend before Christmas?! I can’t. It really crept up on us this year, I feel! I’ve wrapped a majority of my gifts so far. I have a just a few things left which I’ll get to later this weekend.

Last winter I shared this perfect Christmas Plaid Cape. I wore it in that blog post with a mixed chevron white sweater and red velvet leggings. This time around I wore it with a plain white long sleeve v-neck tee, black pants, and green Hunter boots. I wanted to take advantage of my holiday shoot with Lauren to get some great shots of this amazing cape.

I love these photos and wanted to share them just in time for Christmas! How perfect is this cape? I love the toggle closure – it makes movement in the cape so easy and not stiff. The hood is one of the best parts too.

I really liked pairing this cape with my green Hunter boots too. I had a long brainstorm session on what to wear with this cape this time around for the blog and my boots popped in to my head. I thought the green would go perfectly and although I don’t have the very tall version of the boots, I thought it would still look good.

We took these photos at Pier Village in Long Branch. I go here for the beach in the summer, but I’d never gone off-season and it’s decorated so pretty with Christmas trees, an iceskating rink and this giant wreath! I love the photos of me under the wreath with the ocean in the background!
