    Photo Challenge: On the Way

Happy [Photo Challenge] Friday! I felt like this week went by super slow, but it’s almost the weekend! This past week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “On the Way”. The photo challenge prompted participants to share a photo of something they saw on their way to their destination. Oftentimes there are great gems on the way to a destination. The photo I chose, I shared on here last summer, but not for a photo challenge. This amazing picture is an aerial view from my plane on the way to Hawaii. We were getting ready to descend onto Oahu, which was not my final destination — at least not at…

Slapjack – Jimmy Fallon & Jason Statham

If you didn’t already know, I love Jimmy Fallon. I probably mentioned it when I posted about his post-Super Bowl lip sync battle. I always thought he was funny on Saturday Night Live and then when he moved to Late Night and eventually The Tonight Show, I continued watching him because I find his shows to be hilarious. I love all the games and things he does with his guests instead of only doing the normal monologue and interview. The other night, he had Jason Statham on as a guest to promote “Spy”, which looks so funny by the way! I’ve been a fan of Jason Statham for a long time…

    Love to Layer: Bomber Jacket

Love to Layer: Bomber Jacket by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring slim jeans If you ever visit my Polyvore page, you might notice that a number of the looks I put together feature a moto jacket. For some reason, I love the look of them. I don’t even own one myself, yet I find myself frequently including one in a look I style. Moving away from the moto jacket, I’ve begun to explore the reemergence of the bomber jacket. I think a floral one like this is feminine, fun, and keeps you from looking like a teenage boy. Add skinny jeans and these strappy slip on wedges and you’ve got a simple, yet…

    Feeling Tropical

I don’t know about where you are, but where I live the weather has been crazy. As recently as 5 days ago, it was hot weather. Hot enough that when I was getting in my car I thought to myself “It’s getting to be that time of the year when I need to put a beach towel in my car so that I don’t burn my bare legs on my car seat”. And now it’s rainy and cold! A good 30 degrees cooler than it was on Saturday. Crazy, right? Despite the temperature drop, I was feeling tropical the other day and wore this sheer, floral blouse to work. You…

    Style Inspiration: Blair Waldorf

Style Inspiration: Blair Waldorf by lifeaccordingtojamie on Polyvore You may have heard actress Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf is expecting her first baby with her husband actor Adam Brody. I’m sure their baby is going to be adorable! So this news made me think about her character Blair Waldorf on “Gossip Girl”. I watched “Gossip Girl” religiously when it was on and Blair was my fav. I know a lot of people loved Serena, Blake Lively’s character, but I actually did not like her! I always felt like Serena was always fake and a hypocrite, while Blair was always herself – Queen B! I mean, you could like both of…

    IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette

A while back I got the IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette from Ulta. It was an impulse buy. I had seen it on the website for a while and always thought to myself that it looked like something I’d really like to try. Then one day as I was stocking up on items, I impulsively added it to my cart and that was that. Now that I’ve used it a number of times over the past 1-2 months, I feel like I have a good idea on how I feel about it. The case for the palette is a soft cardboard that has a holographic type finish. It’s very sturdy and…

    Saddle Bag

Happy June! How was everyone’s weekend? Yesterday, I met up with my oldest childhood friend who is NJ for a few days. We met up for brunch/lunch (restaurant review coming soon) and I was able to break out my new saddle bag. After months of seeing this trendy bag, I finally picked one up from ASOS recently. While the prices range based on brand and material for saddle bags, I got this New Look bag for under $30. Top: Lou & Grey via LOFT Jeans: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohls Sandals: LOFT Purse: New Look via ASOS I don’t see this exact bag on the ASOS site anymore, but they…

    May 2015 Favorites

May 2015 Favorites by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring bare escentuals makeup It’s the end of another month and again, I can’t believe it! Seriously, where does the time go? I’m back with what I’ve been loving for the month of May so let’s get started. IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Concealer #2 Brush – This brush was included in my order of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye, which now that I’m looking at the price of the brush alone, was a steal! I love this brush and not so much for the dual ended-ness of it (I’m actually not a huge fan of dual ended brushes because it becomes a…

    Nude Heels

Nude Pumps by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring Topshop I am loving the look of nude heels lately and I think they are perfect for spring and summer. While people are usually all about the bright, bold, vibrant colors for the warmer months, I think nude colors are so classic and beautiful. I’m sad to say that I only have one pair of nude heels at the moment and they’re actually closed toe wedges! So I definitely want to invest in some. I actually saw a pair I loved recently on the DSW website that I wanted to buy for an upcoming summer wedding, but they were too expensive 🙁 So I’ll definitely…

    Toasted Ravioli

I love finding copycat recipes of restaurants dishes I like. A few weeks ago I decided to try this Toasted Ravioli one out which is a copycat for the Olive Garden appetizer. It is easy because it’s semi-home made as I used store-bought frozen ravioli. The sauce was homemade, but it was leftover sauce that I had so that cut some time too. You’ll need ravioli – I used spinach & cheese, flour, eggs, and Italian bread crumbs. The recipe I found calls for garlic salt, bread crumbs, oregano and basil, or you could just use Italian bread crumbs, which I think basically has all those ingredients. I coated the ravioli with…
