    Teal Embroidered Peplum

Peplums are the kind of style that look good on pretty much all body types. The fit and flare of them just work on all different kinds of body shapes. There are also different kinds of peplums – more fitted and looser. This teal embroidered peplum top is of the looser variety. The embroidery design on this top is what initially drew me to it. I love the design and the colors look so good on the teal. Top: Target | Jeans: Express | Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW (here) The embroidery looks so good on this teal peplum top. I love the design and as I mentioned earlier in…

    Floral Lace Smocked Hem Blouse

As we approach the start of the really cold winter weather, it’s easy to get in to the habit of wearing dark clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love my black & grey attire as much as the next person, but every once in a while I like to wear something bright and cheery. It can be great to wear some bright colors just to brighten your mood and forget about the freezing temperatures outside. I love this floral lace smocked hem blouse I got a few months ago. The blue, magenta, and yellowish green are a great color combo. The vertical lace trim is always a style detail that…

    Mustard Floral Romper

After only 1 day back at work, I feel like I’m getting sick or just still run down. I’m hoping a couple night’s of solid sleep will help me out because I do not want to deal with being sick right now. With that being said, let me try to make this post short and sweet (although whenever I say that, my post ends up being even longer!) I got this mustard yellow floral romper from Marshalls when on a shopping trip with a friend. I was on the hunt for a good mustard yellow piece for fall and saw this in the racks. I loved the color, floral print,…

    Green Embroidered Plaid

I don’t think plaid will ever go out of style. In fact, as the years have gone by you can find plaid in so many different styles – from cute dresses to tunics to jackets. Then, you have ones with embellishments, lace, and in the case of the green plaid split-neck top – embroidery. Top: Sonoma Goods for Life via Kohl’s (similar) | Pants: Uniqlo | Sunglasses: Quay Australia | Shoes: Keds via DSW | Purse: Coach I love the shade of green in this top, but green is my favorite color so really I love any shade of green and this is no exception. I probably would’ve been drawn to this…

    Fall Blooms + Faux Suede

I love a good Peter Pan collar and the one I’m sharing today is perfect for fall with its fall hued floral print. This sleeveless blouse has a Peter Pan collar, tie, and a pretty floral print. I wore it with a white cardigan and a faux suede skirt featuring buttons down the middle, which I’ve worn on here before. As you can tell from these photos, I wore this back when it was warmer because I didn’t have to wear tights and my pumpkin planter filled with mums was still going strong. High Neck Pink Floral

If you’ve been following me for a while then you know I love florals any time of year. This pink floral dress with a high neck is so pretty and I love the colors. The neck ties in the back which will be so pretty to wear in the spring and summer. Since it’s fall though it was way too chilly to wear this dress without a sweater to work. Although with the large opening at the tie in the back it probably wouldn’t be work appropriate without a sweater anyway. I wore the same burgundy boyfriend sweater that I shared yesterday. I’ve worn this sweater multiple times here on…

    Yellow Floral Shift Dress

Today I’m sharing this gorgeous yellow floral dress I got from ASOS earlier in the fall. I was going to wear it to my fall photoshoot (see look #1 here) but then I changed my mind because I thought it would be tricky to change in/out of in my car. The yellow is so bright and cheery – I love it! The all-over floral print is so pretty and there are ruffle details at the shoulder too. Dress: Vero Moda via ASOS | Watch: Kate Spade | Boots: DSW When I wore this dress to work last month it was still warm enough that I could go bare legged, so…

    White Tassel Cardigan

How was everyone’s weekend? You might have seen on my Instastories that I went to an apple festival with my friend and her baby on Saturday and I’ll be writing about it later this week. But for today’s post, I’m sharing a look from a few weeks ago. I wanted to wear this floral tank top that I’ve had for a few years now. It has a pretty pinky peach trim that gives the top a layered look. But to make it more fall transitional appropriate, I paired it with a white cardigan that features little white tassels all around the trim and lace detailing at the shoulders and arms. I…

    Dark Olive Floral Cold Shoulder

I’m back today with the first of two outfits from my fall photoshoot with Jaye Kogut Photography! If you missed my summer ones you can catch them here, here, and here. Jaye and I worked together one summer a long time ago back when I was in college. We worked at a summer camp together and now Jaye is a professional photographer! She and I are doing blog photo shoots seasonally. For my fall shoot we met at Davidson’s Mill Pond Park and we shot two outfits. My first outfit is this dark olive floral cold shoulder top, wine colored pants, and blush pink lace up flats. Top: LC Lauren…

    Restyled: Wild Orchid Drapey Sweater

Crazy to believe the last time I shared this wild orchid drapey short sleeve sweater on the blog was 2 years ago! I’ve worn it many times since then, trust me! I just haven’t shown it on the blog since then. In any case, the last time I wrote about it I did a day to night post. I wore it with a grey skirt to work and then with a wrap skort to go out to dinner after work. This time around I wore it with mauve pants and faux suede slides with a block heel. Top: LOFT | Camisole: Old Navy | Pants: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s…
