    Dark Floral + Lace Sleeves

Okay, I know I share a lot of dresses on here and I pretty much always say I love the dress, but I really love the dress I’m sharing today. It just might be my current favorite dress in my closet. Earlier in the spring I was at the mall and had no plans to stop inside New York & Company but as I walked by a dress caught my eye in the window. It wasn’t this particular dress, but since my attention was grabbed I then saw all the 50% off signs so I had to go in of course! I picked up a few items like the Love Lace-Up top…

    Sage Floral + Stripes

Today is my first day of my summer break and it doesn’t feel like it. In fact, aside from the fact that my classroom was in disarray yesterday and the kids were kinda crazy it didn’t feel like the end of a year. This could also be due to the fact that I feel like I’m in a weird head space lately so maybe the break and decompressing is just in time. For today’s post I’m sharing a really cute tee I got from one of my favorite online boutiques Avenue Be. It’s a floral and striped tee in sage. The front has a pretty floral design with a white…

    Check Republic: Gingham Dress

Check Republic: Gingham Dress by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring Lilly Pulitzer Gingham is the quintessential summer pattern. Sure, it reminds me of a picnic tablecloth, but it’s just so cute! For the gingham challenge on Polyvore, I chose this navy dress with a criss cross back because I think the open back is so pretty for summer. For a little bit of fun summer bling, I chose this colorful Lily Pulitzer bracelet with beads and shells. I finished off the look with wedge espadrilles – another summer staple. What do you think of gingham?

OTS Crochet Top + Boho Sandals

Happy Saturday! As I’ve mentioned a few times already this spring, I’m totally into the OTS or off-the-shoulder trend this year so I’m back with another OTS top today and it won’t be the last this season. I got this white OTS top with crochet detailing at the top back in the fall on sale because it was out of season. When I got it, I didn’t realize how sheer it is, but I just wore a white lace bandeau bra under and that was fine for me. To finish off the look I wore jeans and my new sandals, which I’m in love with! Top: American Eagle | Jeans:…

    Apple Print + Lace

With 4 school days left to work it’s only fitting that I share this peasant top today featuring lace, bell sleeves, and apple print. I wonder how the whole apple for a teacher thing got started. Anyone know? I actually did get an apple from a student once a few years ago. My student said he always wanted to give a teacher an apple and wanted to do it before he graduated (he was a senior). This top was part of the LC Lauren Conrad – Snow White Collection. Obviously, I wasn’t going to buy anything that looked too Disney-ish or Snow White-y to wear to work, but this top…

    Tropical Multi-Hued Pendant

Months ago I saw that Swarovski had come out with a collection of pieces that had a fun tropical look. Blue/green gems with crystals that resembled palm trees and palm leafs. All the pieces looked beautiful but I was immediately drawn to a large multi-hued pendant on a long chain called the “Gisele Necklace”. It was pricy so I didn’t buy it right away, but knew I wanted to get it sooner rather than later as collections tend to sell out quickly at Swarovski. I waited a few weeks, biding my time and saving my pennies (it was going to take a whole lot of pennies for this necklace) and…

    Autumn Lilac Willow Peplum

How was your weekend? I have 6 school days left to work! Today I’m sharing this look I wore to work a few weeks ago. I love peplum tops because they’re so fun and I think they can suit any body type. This peplum top has a wispy willow print and the shade is “autumn lilac”. I know autumn is in the name but it really is the perfect spring shade. Top: LOFT | Pants: LOFT | Watch: Caravelle by Bulova The fluttery capped sleeves are a nice detail to this top and it adds to the whole wispy feel of the look. I wore this to work on a…

Lace: Cropped Sweater + Dress Extender

Back in the fall I ordered two items from Grace and Lace. I wrote about the lace extender I got in a restyling post (here) and today I’m writing about the lace dress extender I got. I wanted to pair it with a cropped sweater I have with a lace overlay in the front for a dual lace look. Originally, I wanted to wear this dress extender as a way to turn this cropped sweater into a dress ensemble, but the extender is a bit sheer so that didn’t work out hence why I wore leggings underneath. Sweater: Target | Dress Extender: Grace and Lace (here) | Leggings: Milk26 via…

    Say What: Statement T-Shirts

Say What: Statement T-Shirts by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring king pillowcases I love statement t-shirts but they have to be cute and/or clever and funny. I think they can be really fun to wear like this “Namaste in Bed” one. I’ve seen shirts like this on social media for a few years now and it still cracks me up. I definitely need to get one for myself one day. For this statement t-shirt challenge on Polyvore, I chose this shirt and decided to style a bedroom scene to accompany it. The bedroom I chose looks so bohemian and dreamy and the window looks like it could be looking out onto a…

    Dark Floral Shirt Dress

I bought this dress on a whim from Old Navy and when I wore it to work a few weeks ago it was a huge hit. Honestly, I was surprised it was such a hit! I mean, I’m a fan of florals and shirt dresses and obviously I liked this dress enough to buy it, but I was definitely not expecting as much positive feedback as I received. Multiple students told me they loved my dress as well as a bunch of my coworkers. At one point later on in the day one of my coworkers saw me (she hadn’t seen me all day) and said “Oh so this is…
