Book Review: Holiday Ever After

I read my first holiday romance of the season, Holiday Ever After, by Hannah Grace this week and I absolutely loved it. I think it’s my favorite Hannah Grace novel so far!

Holiday Ever After follows Clara Davenport and Jack Kelly. Clara’s family owns a multimillion dollar toy company and without her knowledge, the company screwed over a small town and their viral toy. Jack Kelly is from Fraser Falls, a small town north of New York City. The town made a handmade doll, the Holly doll, in a collaborate effort. Jack makes the wooden doll, someone else makes the dress, someone else is in charge of the packaging etc. The doll became so popular that the Davenport company reached out to Jack to take part in their small business program that is supposed to help small businesses by helping them grow their business and produce on a larger scale. But when Jack sees the contract would only hurt Fraser Falls and not help, he doesn’t go through with the deal and Davenport makes a copycat toy.

Now, it’s Clara’s job to go to Fraser Falls and make amends with the town after a viral video from a townsperson publicized how Davenport cheated the town. Especially because she’s been trying to get a big promotion at work for a long time, but her dad never seems to appreciate her. Supposedly, he will giver her the job if she is able to smooth things over. However, her time in Fraser Falls may end up being worth more than a job promotion. There she finds friends, a sense of belonging, and possibly love?

I loved this book so much. It is now one of my all-time favorite holiday reads. I loved Clara and Jack and some of the other side characters too like Tommy. This was a fun enemies to lovers romcom and I could not put it down. The town was the perfect small town with its cast of characters. I loved how the whole town fell in love with Clara and Jack had to deal with it since he was so stubborn about not wanting to like her at first. It was just such a fun book that also really got me emotional at times.

I’m hoping Hannah Grace continues with more Fraser Falls books because I’d love a book about Tommy finding love and a book about Clara’s best friend, Honors, and her brother Max!

Read this if you want a spicy small town holiday romcom with the enemies to lovers trope.
