    NYX Correcting Concealer

I’ve always been intrigued by colored concealers that are geared towards specific purposes. NYX has 22 shades in their Hi Definition Photo Concealer line and I picked up the green shade which is supposed to conceal/correct redness. I have been using the green concealer for a few weeks now and first of all I have to say it is a beautiful shade of green, even though that probably has nothing to do with anything. It does lessen the appearance of redness from pimples and little marks, but it’s important to note that while it takes out redness, it doesn’t fully conceal. If you want to really conceal marks you’d have…

    May 2020 Favorites

Well if 2020 hasn’t already been bad enough, May has just been another dumpster fire! Things are absolutely crazy right now. We’re still getting through the pandemic and the country is literally and figuratively on fire. I hope you are all staying safe through all of these hard times. For lighter new, I have a round-up of things I loved in May. First, did you watch the first season of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist? I loved the show and I’m waiting to hear if it’s picked up for a 2nd season on NBC. I hope so! During the season finale, the cast sang “American Pie” and I was obsessed with their rendition…

    No Makeup Foundation Serum

Sunday, already? It’s a 3-day weekend here, thankfully, but I can’t believe it’s already Sunday. I tried to sleep in yesterday, but woke up at 8am to the sound of pouring rain. It was so loud that I had to put my AirPods in and play music to drown out the sound of the pounding rain. Do you have any Memorial Day Weekend plans? I’m at my parents house and just having a small bbq with them since we can’t really see other people here in NJ. So the beauty product I’m talking about is not one that I got during the Sephora sale, but something I got on sale…

    Sephora VIB Spring Haul

The Sephora VIB spring sale was back in April, but with everything going on there were shipping delays understandably. My full order is finally in after a few weeks and 3 different shipments so I wanted to share my haul with you! So with my discount this is what I bought this time around: Too Faced Natural Lust Palette – This palette isn’t new, but it’s been on my radar for a very long time so I decided to pick it up. I love all the colors in the palette. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution – I’ve heard some good things about this solution and as you know I have…

    Femme Fatal Press-On Nails

It seems like everyone these days are on the press-on nails train since they can’t go to their nail salons for their appointments. I haven’t gotten a manicure at a nail salon in years. Not that I’m opposed to them, but it’s just not something I make time for or budget for. It’s just not that important to me personally. However, I do enjoy the gel strip nails or press-on nails every once in a while for a fancy nail look. It’s been a few months since I’ve done either though because my nails were in pretty bad shape for a while there. They were constantly breaking from even the…

    Beauty Counter Haul

I have heard of Beauty Counter for the past, at least, 2 years and I’ve been wanting to try the clean beauty brand but never did. Thankfully, I was sent two items from the brand so I could finally try it out for myself and see what the hype was all about! I was sent the Velvet Eyeshadow Palette in “Classic” and the Sheer Lipstick in “Rose”. I’m so happy that these were the two that were sent to me. First of all, they are so my colors! I love the eyeshadow palette – they’re the kind of colors I use all the time. The shadows are so easy to…

    February 2020 Favorites

I saw a meme somewhere yesterday that said something like January was 48 years long and February was 2 seconds and I think it’s so true! January felt like it dragged on and on and I always think the months go by in the blink of an eye so January was strange for sure. I can’t believe February is about to be over and it normally would be except for the fact that it’s a leap year! So let’s get in to my February favorites! First up, my Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw. I have been talking about this for a month. It’s my first Barefoot Dreams piece and I’m in love. I…

    January 2020 Favorites

Normally, I start off my monthly favorites posts talking about how I can’t believe it’s the end of a month. However, this month has felt pretty long. Not that I’m rushing time, but seriously it feels like Christmas was a long, long time ago. Anyone else feel the same? I have a few favorites from this month so let’s get to it! First, I watched the documentary movie on Linda Ronstadt called “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice” and really liked it. I listened to a lot of Linda Ronstadt growing up because my parents would play her music in the car all the time. The movie talked about…

3 Beauty Trends That Will Be Big In 2020

Photo by kevin laminto on Unsplash The beauty industry shows no signs of slowing down.  Advancements in skincare and cosmetic treatments seem to happen almost daily. We’re often set in our own routines and find it difficult to keep on top of new developments.   Here are three which are going to be big in 2020.  Sustainable products Unless you’ve been living on a different planet, you can’t have helped but notice the dramatic shift in society towards ecological, cruelty free, sustainable products in all areas of life.  This consumer shift is being taken seriously and not dismissed as a ‘fad’ of ‘hipster’ trend.  This is great news for our planet…
