Entertaining and Celebrating
You may have noticed that around the various holidays I like to post tablescape and decor inspo. I love looking at decor and design! So when I was sent this book, Entertaining and Celebrating with food and entertaining ideas for the seasons I had a great time flipping through the book. The book has beautiful photos for decor inspiration for each season. It has food ideas in such detail. I mean, they break down a menu for you from the amuse bouche, appetizer, entree, dessert, and even what kind of service style you should/could use! This is definitely my kind of (non-reading) book! *This book was sent to me complimentary, but…

Love Everything Vintage? Style Your Home Like This
Vintage interior design can be everything from a rustic farm style to a luxurious and expensive-looking villa – and it doesn’t really matter if you’ve actually spent a lot of money on it either. If you find yourself rummaging through second-hand shops on a regular basis or just look a bit too much forward to the old furniture you might inherit one day, you’ve definitely found the style of your dreams. Image link: Pexels The only problem is, of course, to find the balance between charmingly old school and a living room that looks like it belonged to one of your eccentric aunts. Vintage can, after all, become a bit…

Read Between The Lines To Find Out Why Your Reading Room Decor Isn’t Working For You
The majority of us now spend our days working office jobs and staring at computer screens. It should come as no surprise, then, that we look for screen-free alternatives once we get home of an evening. Many households are now finding that their televisions remain off for days on end as they seek better ways to spend their free time. Some of us are even repurposing areas in our houses to meet that need. Many people, for example, now dedicate their garages and basements to yoga. And, as we’re going to be considering here, some people are even turning their home offices over to mini libraries. In many ways, reading…

Mini Christmas Tree + Mini Vintage Ornaments
When you get a mini Christmas tree you need mini ornaments right? Okay well I guess you don’t need them, but it’s always fun to decorate. I have two mini trees in my place this year. One is new and one is old. The one I’ve had for years is currently in my family room and if you’ve been following me for a while or at least for more than 1 Christmas season then you’ve seen it before. I didn’t decorate that one – it has berries and pinecones on it and I decided to leave it without additional decorations. I have a few photos of that one which I’ll include…

More Christmas Decor
Happy Wednesday! We’ve made it halfway through the week. I have just 7 more days of work (including today) before winter break! I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner. I’ve already shared with you all my Christmas tree this year and my garland on my stairs. Today I’m sharing some more Christmas decor I’ve got going on in here. My fireplace mantel, my buffet table, and my outdoor wreath. First, my fireplace. I got garland for my mantel and a wreath to put over it from Target. They didn’t come together, but they’re the same brand so they match. I thought about putting some of my LED lights…

Red, Green, & Gold Christmas Tree
This year with my new townhouse I got a new Christmas tree from Costco. A pre-lit one, which is new to me. I have to say it was so much easier to not have to string the lights! The tree I got is 7 ft. tall and the lights can be white, colored, or alternate – which is the setting I normally have it on since I love both white and colored lights. The small lights are classic and clean, but part of me still misses those large old school bulbs! For my tree this year, I inadvertently got an assortment of red, green, and gold ornaments. When I went…
