    Dermaplaning at Home

Have you heard of dermaplaning? Do you dermaplane? I first heard of it a year or so ago. It’s essentially shaving your face, which I know, sounds weird, but hear me out. I’ve never gotten my face professionally dermaplaned, but a lot of people do it at home. You use a small razor that is specifically made for this and it removes dead skin and little hairs from your face leaving your face nice and smooth. People always rave about it so after a year of people talking online about how they dermaplane at home, I decided to try it myself. I got a 3-pack of Schick dermaplaning razors from…

    Skinfix Dark Spot Corrector

I got a dark spot corrector back during the Sephora VIB sale in the spring, but before I open that up, I remembered that Skinfix actually sent me their Correct+ Dark Spot Corrector a while ago. I’ve spoken about the dark spots and acne scars I’ve gotten over the years. Last year I was going to get laser treatments monthly and when things got shut down during lockdown, I wasn’t able to go for my follow up appointments. I think the doctor’s office is opened back up now, but I haven’t made a new appointment yet. I’ll probably wait a while before I go. The results of the laser treatment…

    Shape Tape Body Makeup

I’ve mentioned on here before that I have bouts of eczema at times. For the past two years I’ve had two small patches of eczema on both shins that never fully go away even with cream from the dermatologist. Sometimes it’s hardly noticeable and sometimes it flares up. While they’re not big patches, when there’s a flare up it’s not cute with the red bumps. Now with summer around the corner, I wanted to try body makeup to cover up the red bumps when I wear dresses, shorts, etc. Kim Kardashian’s body makeup is really famous and I can believe that it’s good because Kim has psoriasis so I know…

    Spring Forward VoxBox

I love getting surprises in the mail. Who doesn’t? Last week I got this Spring Forward box VoxBox from Influenster featuring 3 items. Lemi Shine Dishwashing Detergent – a dishwashing detergent that is biodegradable and non-toxic made with powerful citric extracts. The detergent are dual chamber pods with a powder and gel combo. I love the feeling of getting my dishes washed so this is great! Gold Bond Neck & Chest Age Defense Cream – This cream for your neck and chest has SPF in it so it’s great for the warmer weather on the way. With the warmer weather and more skin showing, this is a must. SmashMallow Cookie Dough…

    Sephora VIB Spring Haul

The Sephora VIB spring sale was back in April, but with everything going on there were shipping delays understandably. My full order is finally in after a few weeks and 3 different shipments so I wanted to share my haul with you! So with my discount this is what I bought this time around: Too Faced Natural Lust Palette – This palette isn’t new, but it’s been on my radar for a very long time so I decided to pick it up. I love all the colors in the palette. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution – I’ve heard some good things about this solution and as you know I have…

TAO Clean Orbital Facial Brush + Discount Code

Happy Friday! This week went by pretty fast, so that’s good I guess? Hopefully, with each passing day we’re closer to some of our lockdown restrictions getting lifted. I have been wanting to try out this TAO Clean Orbital Facial Brush for months. I saw it on Alexa Anglin’s instagram stories months ago and it looked so cool. IT’s a facial cleansing brush, but what’s different about this one compared to other popular facial brushes like the Clarisonic, is that this one has a docking station that cleans and dries it. That was really appealing to me. You just put the brush back in the docking station and over time…

    3-Part Self-Care Evening

Since we could all use some self-care these days I thought I’d share what I did a few nights ago for an easy at-home spa night/self-care night. I only did 3 things, but they were so relaxing! After washing my face, I did one of my favorite things – used my facial steamer. This lasts for about 10 minutes. After the facial steamer was done, I put on a sheet mask. Sheet masks are so cooling and refreshing! I chose the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb sheet mask that evening. While I sat in bed to read with my sheet mask on, I got my essential oil diffuser going. My diffuser…

    Things I’m Still Loving

When I was thinking of a blog post I thought it would be fun to look back on some recent items I have shared on here that I’m still seriously loving. These are items that I have either included in my monthly favorites or just wrote about loving and are items that I still love. The items I have chosen to share today are my: Blue agate coasters from Anthropologie Pear shaped earrings from Amazon Grande Lash lash serum Victoria Emerson wrap bracelets (leather, velvet, sequin) Facial steamer I wanted the agate coasters from Anthropologie for a long time and I got them during the holidays on sale. I use…

    Skinfix Eczema Body Wash

How is everyone’s self-quarantining going? My first day of teaching remotely yesterday went pretty well, but, I can see how it can get tougher as it goes on as well as lonely. I’m planning to write a blog post tomorrow to talk about what kind of routine I’m keeping or hoping to keep with this whole working from home thing. But on to today’s blog post. I’ve mentioned it on here before, but for most of my life I’ve had eczema. It usually comes and goes and is usually on my legs. It has been worse in the past year though and I have a prescription from the dermatologist, but…

    Q-Switch Ruby Laser Session 2

Last week I had my second session with the Q-Switch Ruby Laser at Reflections Center for Skin & Body. If you’re new around here, I started going there last summer after getting referred by my dermatologist. I have been wanting to get rid of some spots and acne marks on my face for a while and last summer I finally got my consultation and started treatments. I did 5 or 6 (I lost count) sessions of the V-Beam laser which was to reduce the red marks/scars. Now I’m doing the Q-Switch Ruby or Pico Laser to get rid of brown spots. The brown spots become more noticeable when you get…
