Improve Your Home By Calling Upon Practical Technology
What does ‘practical technology’ mean? For me, it refers to any type of technology that can be used for practical benefits. In effect, you gain something from using it. A cell phone is a piece of practical technology as you can call people when you’re out of the house, check local maps, and so on. A camera isn’t practical as you don’t really gain any critical use out of it. Hopefully, that clears up what I mean, which brings us to the next question. How can you improve your home with practical technology? We’re lucky to have so many new technological developments in our lifetime – many of which can…

Baublebar x OMC Personalized Phone Case
Back in February (I think it was February – it seems so long ago now), I upgraded my phone to the iPhone 11. I got a really pretty clear case with sparkles to highlight the mint green color of my phone. After getting my phone, I also placed an order for a personalized case from the Baublebar/OMC collaboration. I had been lusting over the mint green cases with the pearlescent white personalization and gold outline. The cases are a pricey and take 5 weeks to ship, but I love it so much so it was worth it for me. I put my initials and a heart on my case and…

March 2020 Favorites
It’s weird to talk about what I loved this month when this month has been the absolute worst. It’s like every month of 2020 is competing to be the worst. I’m thankful that I’m still healthy as are my friends and family (knock on wood) but we can all agree it’s a very weird, isolating, scary time right now. We’re all stuck inside our homes and only going out for necessities. I spend my days working from home – teaching virtually through Zoom – and if it’s a nice day I’ll go for a walk to get some fresh air and exercise after my work day. Unsurprisingly I only have…

Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide
For my stocking stuffer gift guide, I wanted to think of items that would actually fit in a stocking. I see so many stocking stuffer gift ideas that float around the internet where I’m like what size stocking do you have? I mean, when I was younger my parents would put little gifts inside my stocking (hence stocking stuffers) and a few gifts below the stocking on the fireplace as well as presents under the tree. But presents under the stockings are presents, not stocking stuffers! So that’s why I wanted to keep my ideas for you guys items that would actually fit in a stocking. My stocking holder is the…

The trouble is, thousands of these devices are lost, damaged, or stolen every year while on vacation. To keep yours from suffering the same fate, here are six things you must do. Using Excel’s Slicer Tool
When Microsoft Excel first came onto the scene one of the newest and most talked about features was the slicer tool. What are slicers? Essentially they allow you easily filter through any data contained in a pivot table report. The difference between this and other tools of its kind before is the fact that it is really easy to use. All you utilise is a set of buttons. You won’t have to search through a drop-down menu list until you find the items you wish to filter as you would have previously. So, how do you put this tool into use when using a Microsoft Excel pivot table? https://pixabay.com/illustrations/accounting-statistics-excel-finance-1928237/ …

Photocopier Woes
If you work in an office or school like me or anywhere with a copy machine I’m sure you know the all too familiar feeling of frustration when the photocopier is just not working. It tends to always happen at the worst possible time, naturally. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to make copies for my students and the copier jams. Then, you follow all the steps on the little screen to try to unjam the copier and maybe it works. For a minute. Another copy will print out and then jam again. If you’re lucky, it’ll unjam for good (for good meaning until you’re done with your…

Too Far Media
*This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.* If you enjoy reading as much as I do, you’ll try to read wherever you can and whatever medium you can. Whether it’s a physical book, e-book, audio book, on your phone, etc. I recently downloaded the app Too Far Media where author Rich Shapero has four stories that fuse fiction, music, and art. The app is free and it’s a really cool immersive experience. Definitely check it out!
