    Pumpkins at Terhune

Can you believe Halloween is next week? I had wanted to go pumpkin picking this year since it has been a very long time since I’ve gone, but time flew by and it didn’t happen. But, when I went apple picking last month at Terhune Orchards there were lots of pumpkins for sale. I took this photo because I knew it would be a great one to use for the holiday. Perfect pumpkin/fall photo! Have a great Friday – the last Friday in October! Advertisements

    Halloween/Fall Tablescapes

I love sharing tablescape inspo with you guys mainly because it’s an excuse for me to scour the Internet for dreamy table settings. Usually I wait until closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas to share tablescape ideas, but I saw a few people doing Halloween tables and so I decided to do something more Halloween related and less Thanksgiving-y. Now, I have to preface this by saying I basically just chose tables that were more fall inspired rather than Halloween because I don’t really like Halloween decor. I like pumpkins and fun stuff like that, but that’s kind of fall too and not limited to Halloween. I hate and I mean hate the gory,…

    Apple Picking 2019

It’s been 2 or 3 years since I’ve gone apple picking and I was itching to go and do something fall-ish despite the temperature still being hot. A few of my friends were free last weekend to go so we went to Terhune Orchards in Princeton which I had never been to. I’d heard good things about Terhune over the years so we decided to check it out. We went mid-morning and it was already really hot out so I’ll preface this by saying we did not stay long since we were all sweating to death in the hot sun. Terhune has 2 addresses and we accidentally went to the…

    #fbf Mums

For this flashback Friday I thought it’d be nice to revisit fall since we’re in the midst of holiday and winter content now. Here’s a look of a pot of multicolor mums I got back in October. When I got the plant it was just buds so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they were multicolor blooms! I love the mix of pink, red, and orange. So pretty! Sadly my mums are no longer and not because it got cold. The snow we got a few weeks ago crushed them and basically broke my poor plant in half! Have a great Friday!

    #fbf Fallen Leaf

Happy Friday! This week hasn’t been too bad, but I’m definitely ready for the weekend. I’m all about the fall foliage – I’m actually kind of sad that most of the leaves have fallen from the trees here. It’s such a short window of time that the leaves are pretty fall colors on the branches before they’re all gone! Anyway, as I was saying I’m all about the fall foliage and falling leaves, but for today’s flashback Friday #fbf I thought I’d share a tropical leaf. I took this photo last October on my parents deck. A leaf from their plumeria plant fell and landed right in between the two…

    Fall in Historic Bethlehem

Last weekend I met up with my friend and her baby in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to walk around, eat lunch, and catch up. It’s a halfway point for us and two years ago we walked around the Christmas market at the steel stacks in Bethlehem. This time we met up in the downtown, Main St. area which just so happens to be in historic Bethlehem. I only took a few photos, but I thought I’d still share them. The weather was perfect and everything was so nicely decorated for fall. When we walked down the side, residential streets pretty much every home was decorated so cute for fall! So many pretty…

    #fbf Leaf

Two Octobers ago I went to a Harry Potter festival in Pennsylvania with some friends. It was a fun outing, but I remember the weather not being the best and it was super crowded so it was hard to enjoy. When I got to my friend’s car to escape the madness of the festival and to head out of the area to find food where the wait wouldn’t be over an hour, the perfect fall leaf fell on me. Well almost perfect – there were a few holes. It’s the quintessential leaf shape and color! So this flashback post is just to wish you all a happy fall! Here’s hoping…

    Getting Ready for Fall

Fall has quickly become my favorite season in the past few years. I don’t know why considering I associate fall with summer vacation being over and having to go back to work. However, there’s just something about fall that I love. The crisp, cool air. Apple cider donuts. Breaking out the cozy sweaters. Oh and ushering in the holiday season, of course. Since I’m in a new space (my townhouse), I picked up a few fall decor things. I didn’t want to go overboard with decorating, plus I don’t have the money to! So it was just a few things. First, I got this super cute leaf candle holder from…

    Photo Challenge: Temporary

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week! It feels like November just started. I’m not a fan of time going by so quickly, but I am excited for the holiday! Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Temporary“. Most of the beautiful autumn leaves have fallen from the trees now where I live but there a few stragglers still on the trees. Of course, the ones left are not looking too pretty after withstanding downpours and gusty winds. But, a few weeks ago the leaves were looking gorgeous with their fiery, autumnal colors. When I was out for a walk in my neighborhood I saw this tree absolutely…

    Peddler’s Village – Apple Festival

Last weekend I met up with a good friend and her baby at an apple festival in Pennsylvania. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect but it sounded like a fun, fall outing. I guess in my head I  thought there’d be, well, more apples. But I don’t think I actually saw any real apples aside from the caramel covered ones. Afterwards my friend and I said we should’ve known it wouldn’t have been as country/rural as we had in our minds since it was at Peddler’s Village which is a quaint little area with shops and restaurants. What was there, besides the shops and restaurants, were lots of apple…
