Ballet Crossover Top + Resin Necklace

Happy Friday! This week was a long one and every day I woke up and lamented that it still was nowhere near Friday. But it’s finally the end of the work week and I could not be more ready for the end of the day. Plus, tonight I’m going to see Ed Sheeran in concert! Follow my instastories to follow along with me and I’ll write up a post about the show later this weekend. On to today’s post, though. I wore this ballet crossover top and resin statement necklace to work earlier this week and it was the epitome of comfortable and stylish. The top is so flowy and…

    Eyelet Trim Sweater Tank

I love sweater tanks. They are the perfect transition pieces. Sleeveless for those warm days, but thicker since we’re not at the height of summer. Sweater tanks normally are more conservative too so if you can wear sleeveless tops to work they’re a great option! Early in the summer I was at LOFT and I saw the cutest white sweater tank with eyelet trim. And you know I love eyelet. But it was full price and I didn’t have my LOFT card on me. Hazards of switching to a smaller bag when I go out sometimes. I suppose I could’ve just had the cashier look up my account, but I…

    Modilize Launch Party

Happy Wednesday! This week has been so busy that it feels much later in the week than Wednesday, but at least we’re one day closer to the weekend. So last Saturday during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) I went in to the city for the Modilize Launch Party. Modilize is a soon to be released app for online shopping that is going to streamline the shopping experience for women. I’m excited for it to officially launch! In the meantime though, I had a great time at their NYFW launch party. I arrived in the city about an hour before the event started, so I walked around the neighborhood a little and…

    Emmy 2018 Red Carpet

Did you catch the Emmy’s last night? I watched most of it – I had it on in the background as I got some work done. Did you see the proposal during one of the award acceptances? So sweet! I’ve rounded up a few of the looks I loved from last night. There are probably a few great looks that I didn’t see. I saw Gina Rodriguez present and I loved her blue gown but I could’t find a photo of her online last night! So here are the photos of outfits I did see on TV or online and loved (in no particular order) There wasn’t anything particularly special…

    Cobalt Blue Baby Doll Tank

Last year I shared a dark floral version of this tank top and I’m finally getting around to sharing the cobalt blue version. This color is so pretty and I love the pop of color it brings to this otherwise all black look. I wore it with a lace black bodysuit underneath since it’s pretty low-cut, black leggings, and a black open cardigan because it was a little cool and rainy out. Lastly, I wore a necklace I just won last weekend at the Modilize event I went to which I mentioned in yesterday’s post. It’s the Tribe Necklace and looks like a little tent. It’s so cute and dainty! So…

    Tiger Lily Jumpsuit

Last Saturday I went in to the city for a New York Fashion Week launch party for an upcoming fashion app. I’m going to write all about that in a few days, but today I’m sharing what I wore! Since it was New York Fashion Week, I wanted to look fashionable of course! My pre-order of this tiger lily jumpsuit from Vici came just in time. The jumpsuit has a pretty floral design all over – very fall like! It’s satiny feeling and has leg slits and ties at the ankles. So comfortable and stylish! I had to pin the top closed as it opens all the way. Since the…

    Cropped Striped Jumpsuit

If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you know I love jumpsuits. Although my love for jumpsuits is nothing new I’ve never worn a jumpsuit to work – until last week that is! I realized that some jumpsuits are definitely appropriate for me to wear to work if styled correctly and who doesn’t want to feel like they’re wearing pajamas at work? This jumpsuit has cropped legs and brown and black stripes. Well, I think it’s black – in some lights it looks a little navy! There are buttons down the front and pockets as well. The straps are adjustable which is always nice. Since it’s low…

    Floral Lattice Top

It’s only Tuesday, but I feel like I’ve been through a week of work already! Hopefully today doesn’t drag or feel too tiring. For the look I’m sharing today I wore a floral lattice detailed top with cropped jeans and rose gold mules. I recently wore the same top and mules to work but with black pants to make it more work appropriate. Top: New York & Company | Jeans: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Mules: Target I love the design on the top. The navy blue background with the swirls of floral print in champagne, gold, blue, green, etc. is so pretty. The lattice detailing is just an…

    Pink & Green Floral Dress

Yesterday, I went to in to the city for a New York Fashion Week event to celebrate the launch of an upcoming fashion app. I was so on the fence about going, but I’m glad I did go and got out of my comfort zone. If you saw my Instagram stories yesterday you got to see some of the event. I’ll be writing all about it later in the week! But today’s post is about this dress with a beautifully vibrant pink and green floral print and ruffle detailing. I love the pops of hot pink against the green. I wore it with pink ankle strap block heel sandals. These…

    Blue Dolman Sleeve Front Tie

You’ve probably seen this style of top a lot on your social media this summer. You might even own one. So many brands/retailers put out their version of this waffle knit/thermal style tee with buttons and a front tie. What I like about this one is that its a dolman sleeve top so it’s more slouchy and loose aka comfortable! Originally, I wanted this top in a pretty light purple/lavender color but it was sold out in my size. I got it in a light powder blue instead and I really like it! I paired it over the weekend with dark grey shorts and my flatform sandals that I included…
