    Book Review: Dark Places

    I recently finished reading Gillian Flynn’s novel, Dark Places. Having read and enjoyed Gone Girl a few years ago, I really wanted to read another novel by Flynn. The novel focuses on Libby Day, a woman in her 30s, who is essentially orphaned when she is 7 after the gruesome murders of her mother and sisters. Her older brother has been in prison for over 20 years supposedly guilty of the murders, but the question is whether he is truly guilty or not. As Libby thinks back to that fateful night, she begins investigating what happened to her family. The beginning of this novel, actually the first 100-150 pages, were a little slow in…
