Pink Tie Waist Dress + Plaid Ruana

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you’re in/from the US and celebrate)! Mine was pretty nice and I wanted to share my outfit! While wearing a dress isn’t always the most comfortable thing to wear when you’re busy cooking/entertaining – especially in the cold weather months. But, I was actually extremely comfortable in my outfit yesterday! I wore this dusty/mauve-y pink dress with a tie waist detail and balloon sleeves. One of my best Amazon Fashion finds so far! I did wear stockings with it and even though they’re nude sheer stockings they did keep my legs a bit warmer. I kept my plaid ruana on most…

    Plaid Button Down Dress

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week already! It seems like just the other day everyone was talking about how Halloween snuck up and now we’re at the end of November. The look I’m sharing today is one that I shot with Lauren last month during our fall shoot. I would say it’s a great outfit for Thanksgiving, which it is, but pretty much any fall outfit is good for Thanksgiving don’t you agree? I really love this outfit – a plaid button down dress with a white turtleneck and cognac slouchy boots. Fall perfection! Dress: American Eagle | Turtleneck: ASOS (here) | Boots: Red Dress Boutique I love the…

    Wide Brim Tan Hat

When I was younger I used to always say “I wish I was a hat person”. And then one day as I got older I decided I’m just going to make myself a hat person. So in the winters I started wearing cute beanies and in the summers I might throw on a baseball cap if I need some shade on my face. Perhaps a cute little fedora here and there. Well, I’m really in to hats now. Over the summer I wore my wide brim panama hat quite a bit. Now I have a wide brim felt hat in tan! I pre-ordered this hat back in September and was hoping…

Restyled: Watermelon Plaid Henley + Pearl Embellishments

There’s a whole story behind this watermelon plaid henley which I briefly got in to back when I first shared it a few years ago. I love the colors in this plaid and since it is so thin and lightweight I wanted to get a wear in before it gets too cold. Since I haven’t shared it on here in a while I thought I’d restyle it from the way I last wore it on the blog. Last time I wore it untucked with taupe pants and light tan moccasin style boat shoes. This time I front tucked it in to pearl embellished distressed jeans, wore taupe booties, and wore…

    Balloon Sleeve Plaid

Happy Friday! This short work week has felt excruciatingly long for some reason so I am so excited for the weekend. Also, I’ve got plans to chop my hair after work today! Catch me on my Instagram stories later today for a peek! It’s been a few years since I’ve had short hair so I’m excited for the change. On to the topic of today’s post. I love plaid as many people do. I love all different colors and styles so when I saw this green/blue/pink plaid top with balloon sleeves and the length for knotting up, I was really in to it. Top: American Eagle (here) | Jeans: Kohl’s | Shoes:…

Restyled: Shaker Knit Sweater + Plaid Shirt Dress

I hope you all had a good weekend and you’re not too down about the fact that it’s back to work today. The outfit I’m sharing today is not just a restyling of the sweater and of the plaid shirt dress, but it’s also kind of a throwback look since it’s kind of 90s looking. I wanted to wear this blue and green plaid shirt dress to work last week, but I knew with it’s lightweight material that I’d need a sweater since I would most likely be cold. Instead of wearing it with a cardigan, I decided to wear my shaker knit sweater over it. I wore sweater tights and…

Red Plaid + Gold Layered Necklace

I love plaid. I could wear it all year round, but I know it’s often seen as more of a winter style. This red plaid top buttons down all the way and is nice and soft. I hate rough plaid tops. To dress it up a little, I paired it with a layered gold disc necklace. The discs have a hammered look to them, so it’s not your typical coin style necklace that we all know and love, but this one is pretty too. Top: Express | Leggings: J.Crew | Necklace: Vici | Boots: UGG Along with the gold layered necklace, I wore this red and black plaid top with black…

    Buffalo Check Off-the-Shoulder

It’s back to work for me today. It’s supposed to be a shorter day for us since the students don’t come back until tomorrow, so I’m hoping today will be a nice way to ease back in to work. Nice being a relative term. On a happier and lighter note, I’m sharing a really cute buffalo check or plaid off-the shoulder top today. It’s actually the last look I shot with Lauren for our holiday shoot. I saved it for last because while it is red and can definitely be worn for holiday-wear it isn’t as Christmas-y as the bow brooch or plaid cape that I also wore for the shoot. I…

    Plaid Teddie Sweater

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great time ringing in 2019 doing whatever you wanted to do whether it was out at a big party, with friends at home, or sleeping! I got together with a few friends and we had a pajama/onesie party. My last day of 2018 didn’t start out so smoothly after burning a hole in my shirt with the iron, but I’m hoping 2019 will be a much better year! Today I’m sharing this sweater I wore on Christmas. I know, Christmas is technically 2 holidays ago, but it was just a week ago! I’m not sure why this sweater is called a…

    Restyled: Christmas Plaid Cape

Can you believe it’s the weekend before Christmas?! I can’t. It really crept up on us this year, I feel! I’ve wrapped a majority of my gifts so far. I have a just a few things left which I’ll get to later this weekend. Last winter I shared this perfect Christmas Plaid Cape. I wore it in that blog post with a mixed chevron white sweater and red velvet leggings. This time around I wore it with a plain white long sleeve v-neck tee, black pants, and green Hunter boots. I wanted to take advantage of my holiday shoot with Lauren to get some great shots of this amazing cape.…
