Through Dark Storms is the fourth and final book i Through Dark Storms is the fourth and final book in the Beneath Black Sails series by @claresager and it was such a great conclusion to the pirate fantasy romance! 📚🏴‍☠️ In the novel Vice and Knigh are finally together and in love and now need to find safety and a new home for the thousands of people they’re responsible for. They’ll fight old enemies and new monsters together and with their friends 🌊. I love Vice and Knigh and them together. The books are such fun and angsty reads! And I just recently learned that this series is related to the author’s A Kiss of Iron series (the fmc of that is Vice’s sister!) so I may need to move that up my tbr. Through Dark Storms wraps up nicely but leaves some things open (letters from Vice’s dad 👀) and I’m wondering if those things are addressed in A Kiss of Iron?! When I heard @christinalauren were writing a novel When I heard @christinalauren were writing a novel about Fizzy from The Soulmate Equation, I knew I had to read it because I absolutely love her 🩷. The True Love Experiment follows Fizzy a couple years after The Soulmate Equation. Fizzy, a popular romance author is in a writing slump and the normally outgoing, flirty woman who dates like no one’s business wants to really fall in love. Connor Prince is a documentary filmmaker but when the network he works for wants him to produce a reality dating show he has no choice if he wants to keep his job and stay in San Diego where his young daughter is. He gets the idea to have Fizzy be the star after he sees her at a bar one night and realizes she’s the romance author his ex loves so much. Not only that, but the show would use the technology River created in The Soulmate Equation to find Fizzy’s matches. Connor and Fizzy have undeniable sizzling chemistry and get along so well. On top of that they are wildly attracted to one another. But, they have a job to do. Can Fizzy find love on the show when the only person she’s interested in is Connor? Can Connor put his feelings for Fizzy aside and help her find her soulmate aka do his job? 👀 I loved this book! Fizzy is my hero! And I loved Fizzy and Connor and how real and flawed they were. Their chemistry is electric and the banter is so good 📖🥵. Read this book if you want a spicy romcom with the work place romance trope and sort of the forbidden romance trope 📚. Twinkies & Beefcake by @t_h_forest is a coming of Twinkies & Beefcake by @t_h_forest is a coming of age gay romance that had me hooked from start to finish. The novel follows Robby, a wealthy British teen who is just admitting to himself that he is gay. The first half of the book follows a 15 year old Robby as he comes into his own after coming out and shows him meeting an older man one day. Vas is 27, tall, fit, hot, and interested in Robby which makes Robby feel special. Robby begins to really feel like he’s in love with Vas and his love blinds him to do whatever Vas wants. As years go by, Robby gets lost in alcohol, drugs, and allowing Vas to record them and post the videos to adult sites. When Vas gets bored with Robby, everything comes crashing down for him and it takes Robby years to recover mentally, emotionally, and physically. The second half follows Robby as he finds real love and the ups and downs of that relationship. I don’t want to spoil the book so I won’t say who he falls in love with, but I really loved their love story! 🩷 I really liked the book, especially the second half with the ups and downs of the love Robby finds. The first half can be triggering for some with what Robby goes through with the grooming, manipulation, abuse, etc. but it makes the second half and the good things that happen for Robby all the more beautiful. ❤️‍🩹 I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a coming of age lgbtq romance, but make sure to check trigger warnings!
