    Restyled: Buffalo Check Half Zip

Last week was the last Friday of the month, which means I could wear jeans to work. Isn’t it funny how the smallest thing like being allowed to dress down to work can make you happy? So for my dress down day I wore jeans (obviously) and my green buffalo check half zip pullover. I wore it a little bit differently to work than how I wore it here for photos in my restyling. Last time I wore this top on the blog I wore it with dark grey pants and paired it with my cobalt blue crossbody bag. This time I front tucked it, wore it with jeans, and…

  • Chambray Top + Confetti Tank

Restyled: Chambray Button Down + Confetti Top

I love when I’m going through my drawers or closet and I have a lightbulb moment of seeing pieces that would look great together that I hadn’t considered before. That’s how most of my restylings happen. So when I was going through my drawers recently I saw a tank top with a multicolor confetti style print and my chambray button down. I thought to myself – those would look great together! So I wore the two together with wine colored high-waisted jeggings to dinner last week. Chambray Top: American Eagle | Tank Top: Kohl’s | Pants: American Eagle | Shoes: Red Dress Boutique I really liked how the multicolor print…

  • Lace Panel Deep V + Gold Hoops

Restyled: Deep V Lace + Gold Hoops

If you’ve been following me since earlier this year then you may know I’ve been looking for a pair of medium sized hoops for a while. I thought I had found a great pair from Francesca’s but they broke the first time I tried to wear them. I recently bought a set of 3 from Amazon for $8! They’re pretty good quality for being less than $10 actually. The set consists of  silver, gold, and rose gold pairs so they pretty much match any outfit! I wore the gold pair last weekend with a graphic tee with deep v lace paneling in the front and back which I’ve worn on here…

  • Yellow Floral Midi + Crop Top

Restyled: Yellow Floral Midi + Ribbed Crop Top

A few weeks ago I wore my yellow floral midi dress that I hadn’t worn in a while and while I was wearing it I thought to myself “Hey this dress would look really good layered with my ribbed crop top that has the wide neck line/almost off the shoulder look”. It looked good in my head at least and so I put it together and loved it! I put the outfit together with my brown strappy sandals and beaded bracelet stack for a family bbq last weekend. Dress: Old Navy | Crop Top: Abercrombie & Fitch | Sandals: DSW (here) | Bracelets: The Styled Collection (here and here) I…

  • Palm Print Sweater Tank + Beaded Heart Earrings

Restyled: Palm Print & Beaded Hearts

Happy Labor Day! I hope all of you who have off for the long weekend are enjoying your day. I’m officially (minus furniture) moved out of my townhouse and back at my parents’ for the next few weeks. I’m back to work tomorrow and this time with students so I’ll officially be back to work and not just sitting through meetings and presentations. But I’m not letting go of summer completely just yet so I’m back with a restyling of my palm print sweater tank. I wore it on the blog a few summers ago with cropped leggings while I was in Cape Cod. Or maybe it was on the…

Restyled: Lace Cardigan + Floral Hi-Lo

Yesterday’s outfit that I shared was from when I was sightseeing at Alcatraz and Angel Island during my San Francisco vacation. Today I’m sharing the outfit I wore on my day trip to Monterey, Carmel, and 17-Mile Drive! For this day I knew I wanted to wear something that was comfortable for the drive and also something with layers since I didn’t know what the weather would be like from town to town. I decided to wear leggings so I would be comfortable all day, so I needed to wear a top that would work with them. I wore a long cardigan with a lace bottom and a floral hi-lo…

  • Knotted Tank Top + Blue Velvet Pleated Skirt

    Restyled: Blue Velvet Pleated Skirt

When I had my photoshoot with Lauren at the beginning of the month this outfit was not one of the original outfits I picked out. Just days before the photoshoot I switched out my more vibrant, hot weather outfit, for this white sleeveless top and blue velvet pleated skirt because the weather was supposed to be cool and cloudy that day. As with all my shoots with Lauren, the weather ended up being hotter and sunnier than forecasted (not complaining!). Anyway, I’ve worn this blue velvet pleated skirt on here before but that was with a long sleeve white tee so definitely more of a cool weather look. This time I styled…

  • Lace Henley + Multicolor Necklaces

Restyled: Lace Henley + Bright Necklaces

Another restyling today! I didn’t plan these restyling posts out very well since they’re so close together, but oh well. The last time I shared this black lace henley blouse was a few years ago so it’s been a while. I also wore it with denim shorts last time I wore it on here, but I wore it untucked and with a bright colored camisole underneath. This time I wore a strapless bra so no cami underneath and front tucked it. I also added 2 brightly colored necklaces. The long necklace is a multi-strand necklace with different colors and the other, shorter necklace is a gold rainbow hued pendant. Top:…

    Restyled: Jeweled Peter Pan Collar

I love sharing restylings because I usually hold on to pieces for a while and let’s be real outfit repeats happen. Since it’s been a while since I wore this jeweled peter pan collar on here, I thought I would restyle it. A few years ago I shared it on here with jeans. This time around I wore it to work with black pants and a bright pink cardigan. Cardigan: Target | Top: Elle via Kohl’s | Pants: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Mules: Target This jewels are just in the the shape of a peter pan collar, but there isn’t actually a collar on this black knit short sleeve…

  • Green Smock Top + Mustard Yellow Mules

    Fashion,  Looks

Restyled: Green Smock Top + Mustard Bow Mules

Sharing another restyling today. The purpose for this restyling is to show off my new shoes! I’ve been loving the bow mule trend – the kind with the cutout between the bow and the toes. When I saw these mustard colored ones I thought they were so cute. I was a bit hesitant at first to get them because I wasn’t sure if I could match them with a lot of outfits. But, I decided that everyone loves mustard, myself included, and it would actually go with a lot more than at first thought. Plus, it would be a departure from the normal black, grey, taupe, white shoes. So I…
