    Geo Pleated Henley Dress

I love outfits that look like two pieces but are one. Whether it be a layered top, a dress, a romper – you name it. Anything that looks like you actually layered something together to make a great outfit, but you really did no work at all because it’s one piece is a winner in my book. I love this dress with the henley style blouse on top connected to a geo printed pleated skirt. A few people asked me if it was a top tucked in to a blouse and I excitedly told them it was a dress! The elastic waist with drawstring made the already comfortable dress even…

    Dot Scalloped Wrap Top

I’m back from spending the weekend in Toronto and off from work today! We had one unused snow/emergency day at school so they gave us an extra day off this long weekend. This extra day off is the main reason I went to Toronto this past weekend since I could go away and still have a day to recuperate. I’ve got my weekend travel post scheduled to go up tomorrow! Tomorrow I head back to work and so I’m sharing one of my favorite work-wear pieces this spring. When I saw this wrap top, I had to have it. The details are just beyond perfect. I love the black and…

    Side Button Pencil Skirt

It’s another button filled day with the skirt I’m sharing today. Yesterday I shared a sweater with black piping and button detailing. Today I’m sharing a grey pencil skirt with black side button detailing. It’s super comfortable and perfect for work. And the best part is that it is stretchy and a pull-on skirt! I paired this skirt with a chartreuse sweater. It was too long to wear untucked and too bulky to tuck in, so I tied it up in a twist with a hair tie and tucked it under. Sweater: American Eagle | Skirt: LOFT (here) | Tights: American Eagle | Boots: DSW I paired the skirt and…

    Velvet Polka Dot Pants

Dress pants can get boring to wear to work. I mean, how many different variations can you wear? Plus, unless you work somewhere that allows you to dress casually or more freely, then you keep your pants pretty basic – not even straying too far in terms of color. So when you find pants that put a small twist on a classic, it’s a welcome change. These navy blue pants have an all-over black polka dot detail, which is cute in itself, but the polka dots are actually velvet! It’s such a good idea and a great way to update a classic look. Both the sweater and pants are from…

Restyled: Pink Ruffle +White Faux Stone Earrings

Last Monday I wore this pink ruffle top to work with marled style dress pants and white faux stone c-shaped earrings. I got a ton of compliments on my outfit – way more than I had expected which was nice. But the best part? My top feels like a sweatshirt! So I basically got complimented on how nice my outfit was and I was comfortable like I was in loungewear. The last time I wore this pink ruffle top on the blog I dressed it down with jeans and floral espadrille flats. This time, like I mentioned above, I wore it to work with dress pants and earrings. By the…

    Eyelet Medallion Sleeve Top

It’s Wednesday! I’m not sure if this week is going by quickly or slowly. I’ve been so busy that I feel like I don’t really have time to think about it. The look I’m sharing today is what I actually wore to work yesterday except different shoes and I wore a gold watch rather than a bracelet. I shot this look over the weekend with colorful sandals and I wore brown and cream flats to work yesterday. I love the eyelet medallion sleeves. Such a pretty detail! Top: LOFT | Pants: Old Navy | Sandals: DSW | Bracelet: Express The top is oversized, but I think it’s a good option…

    Sheer Ruffle Dot

My work/school year may be over for summer but I still have one or two more outfits that I wore to work to share with you. The first one up is this sheer ruffle dot top. The body is black, but the yoke and sleeves are sheer with a white dot design. There is a little ruffle detailing at the shoulders, but other than that the top is pretty simple. The sheer ruffle dot design is what makes this top different and fun, but still classic. I wore white pants with the top to lighten the look and bring out the white dots on the top. Top: LOFT | Pants:…

    Polka Dot Tie Blouse

I’ve been on a tie blouse kick lately. You might remember this pink and maroon one I just shared over the weekend. This white tie blouse with black polka dots was a Christmas gift and I love how crisp it looks with black pants. It was a little low cut for work so I wore a lace topped black cami underneath. Top: Forever 21 | Pants: LOFT | Shoes: Aldo I love the black & white polka dots. So classic and will never go out of style! Have a great Thursday – it’s almost the weekend!

    Grey Crochet Top

How was your weekend? My friends’ 4-day wedding festivities ended on Saturday night/Sunday morning and while it was a really fun weekend I’m tired and not ready to return to work! There are less than 3 weeks left to the school year, but the end of the year is always hectic and add in that I am getting my new townhouse move-in ready and it’s going to be a busy month! I’m going to share what I wore to the reception in tomorrow’s blog post, but for today I’m sharing a top I wore to work last week. This grey crochet top with a high collar and buttons on the…

    Pink & Maroon Necktie Blouse

Happy Saturday! Today is my friend’s wedding and for the past few days I have been swamped with wedding events, work, and an exciting personal thing which if you follow my Instagram stories you’ll know I just closed on a townhouse yesterday! If you follow me on Instagram you probably also saw wedding festivities like my henna. So because I’ve been so busy, the past few days and this weekend’s blog posts have been put together ahead of time. But I plan to write about the wedding – mainly what I’m wearing to it tonight – on the blog in a few days. Today I’m sharing a pink and maroon…
