    Multicolor Star Blouse

When I first saw this blouse online I was like “omg so fun!” and then I got it and was like “hmm, I’m not sure about this”. Then, I put it on and was reassured that it was a great idea to get it. I love the all over multicolor star print and the little ruffle details at the wrist. Top: Vici | Pants: Gap | Watch: Caravelle by Bulova | Shoes: Clarks via DSW The print may be a little too busy for some, but I love the colors and the stars are so small that when you see the print from afar it just looks like beautiful colors…

    Floral Embroidered Sleeve Sweater

We’re almost at the weekend! Just 2 days until we get a little break. This week hasn’t been as busy as last week for me, but I’ve been extra tired this week for some reason so it’s been just as tiring. I really need to start going to bed earlier! Anyway, you all know by now that I love florals so when I saw this floral embroidered sleeve sweater it was an instant “add to cart”. The light pink of the sweater has a slightly mauve tone and I love it. And tons of other people loved it too because the sweater sold out before I could share it with you…

Linen Cardigan + Double O-Ring Belt

This is one of those weeks that I can’t decide if it’s going by quickly or slowly. Part of me is thinking “wow it’s already Thursday!” and part of me is like “How is it not Friday yet?” It’s been a really busy week at work with the end of the marking period approaching which means lots of grading. Add to that the stress of my renovations and moving and my life is very chaotic lately. But on to stress-free matters – my clothes! I got this light grey linen blend cardigan with front pockets late in the summer. It’s technically labeled as a duster, but it hits at mid-thigh…

    Floral Ruffle Drawstring Dress

If you’ve been following me for at least a year then you know the things I share the most during the school/work year are dresses and sweaters. I love me some sweaters! But it’s not sweater weather just yet so I’m sharing this floral drawstring dress today. If you’ve been following me for any length of time then you also know I love floral prints. The dress has the prettiest all-over floral print, a drawstring waist, and pockets. It also has a little bit of a ruffle neckline and cap sleeves. I wore it with a maroon cardigan to work, a velvet studded wrap bracelet, and black flats. Dress: LOFT…

    Large Floral Print Dress

When I first saw this floral drawstring dress I loved it right away. It has the prettiest large floral print and is the perfect midi length for work or casual wear. The dress is super comfortable too which makes this a dream dress! Dress: Amazon (here) | Bracelet: The Styled Collection (here) | Booties: Nordstrom (here) I wore the dress with my chunky coin charm bracelet and blush pink peep-toe sock booties for these photos and swapped out the shoes for flats for work. The dress is technically black but in some lights it looks more brown than black to me. I think because it’s not a stark, bold black…

    Red Ditsy Floral

If you’re like me you might be wondering what a ditsy print is. So I looked it up and a ditsy print means a scattered print. Maybe that’s where they got the term for a ditsy person? Because they’re scatterbrained? Anyway, I thought this white short sleeve top with a red ditsy floral print and ruffle sleeves was really cute.  It’s perfect to dress down with jeans or make work appropriate with black pants like I did here. Top: Sonoma Goods for Life via Kohl’s (here) | Pants: Old Navy (here) | Shoes: Target I wore this to work yesterday and was comfortable all day. If I wore this with…

    Leopard Sheath Dress

This past weekend was such a whirlwind with house stuff, family coming to town, and a family bbq that I actually didn’t have the Sunday night blues because going to work seems like a nice escape from all the craziness! So let’s hope work today is pretty good so I don’t regret today’s desire to go to work. Last week I wore this leopard sheath dress to work. Normally I wouldn’t think to wear a full-on animal print dress to work, but the colors of this dress are so autumnal (one of my favorite words) that I thought it just worked. The base color of the dress is like a…

    Geo Pleated Henley Dress

I love outfits that look like two pieces but are one. Whether it be a layered top, a dress, a romper – you name it. Anything that looks like you actually layered something together to make a great outfit, but you really did no work at all because it’s one piece is a winner in my book. I love this dress with the henley style blouse on top connected to a geo printed pleated skirt. A few people asked me if it was a top tucked in to a blouse and I excitedly told them it was a dress! The elastic waist with drawstring made the already comfortable dress even…

    Dot Scalloped Wrap Top

I’m back from spending the weekend in Toronto and off from work today! We had one unused snow/emergency day at school so they gave us an extra day off this long weekend. This extra day off is the main reason I went to Toronto this past weekend since I could go away and still have a day to recuperate. I’ve got my weekend travel post scheduled to go up tomorrow! Tomorrow I head back to work and so I’m sharing one of my favorite work-wear pieces this spring. When I saw this wrap top, I had to have it. The details are just beyond perfect. I love the black and…

    Side Button Pencil Skirt

It’s another button filled day with the skirt I’m sharing today. Yesterday I shared a sweater with black piping and button detailing. Today I’m sharing a grey pencil skirt with black side button detailing. It’s super comfortable and perfect for work. And the best part is that it is stretchy and a pull-on skirt! I paired this skirt with a chartreuse sweater. It was too long to wear untucked and too bulky to tuck in, so I tied it up in a twist with a hair tie and tucked it under. Sweater: American Eagle | Skirt: LOFT (here) | Tights: American Eagle | Boots: DSW I paired the skirt and…
