Book Review: Under Loch & Key
I have read a few Lana Ferguson books now and I’ve loved each one. Under Loch & Key is no exception. It was just such a fun read!

The novel follows Keyanna McKay or “Key” and Lachlan Greer. Keyanna travels to Scotland, where her late father is from, to connect with her grandparents whom she’s never met. She hopes to form a relationship with her grandparents and learn why they and her father stopped talking to each other. Lachlan is Scottish and is currently living and working on the McKay property, but has a secret agenda. A curse on Lachlan’s family that has existed for centuries, causes the men in the family to shape shift every night into the Loch Ness Monster. Lachlan is sure that the answer to the curse and how to break it must be somewhere on the McKay property. Keyanna wants to help Lachlan and she and her family just might be the key.
This was such a fun read. It didn’t go too in depth into the legend and curse or the shape shifting, but I didn’t mind since this is a romcom with paranormal/fantasy elements and not a straight up fantasy romance or fantasy read. I really liked Key and Lachlan. They were both really likable characters and I loved their banter, especially when they were “enemies” at the beginning.
Read this if you want a spicy paranormal romcom with a shifter.
