Book Review: Mercy
Last week I read the fourth book in the Salacious Players Club series by Sara Cate, Mercy. This one follows Beau Grant and Maggie Anderson.

Beau is Emerson’s son and Charlie’s ex and Maggie is Emerson’s business partner, one of the co-owners of Salacious. In Mercy, Emerson and Charlie are engaged and Emerson is mostly used to the idea of his dad and ex being together now. He and his dad get along a bit better, but still have work to do on their relationship. Maggie has always felt a little out of place being one of the owners of Salacious because she is not as outgoing as her friends/business partners and more reserved/shy about her sexuality. But when the girls talk Maggie into taking the Salacious quiz on the app since she’s never done it before, she’s shocked to find out she’s a domme and brat tamer, but slowly realizes it kind of makes sense because she likes being in control. Unknowingly, Beau decides to also take the quiz out of curiosity since he’s always kept his distance from his dad’s business. He is shocked to learn that he’s a submissive and brat. The two get matched up on the app not knowing the other’s real identity!
When they realize the truth, will they be able to look past the age gap or that Maggie is friends with Beau’s dad?
I liked this book and really liked Beau. I liked Maggie too, but I was more into Beau’s growth and seeing him change his opinion on his dad and on the club. How he grew to appreciate the club and his dad’s hard work. I liked Beau and Maggie together, but I just wasn’t as invested in their relationship as I was with the others.
Read this book if you want a spicy age gap romance.
