Charlie Florek Appreciation

One of my favorite books of the summer was One Golden Summer. I was looking forward to it for forever because one the main character or mmc, Charlie Florek, is one of my favorite characters. He was a side character in Every Summer After and I loved him and hoped for a book with him as the main character. Naturally, he was perfect in One Golden Summer and deserves an appreciation post.

“He drops my hand, and mine feels so much colder. Charlie steps into the boat with grace, pulls the t-shirt over his head, and tosses it to me. ‘Wear it to bed, Alice. Picture me in your dreams.’ I wrinkle my nose, but it only makes him laugh.”

I could read about Charlie all day!
