    Floral Maxi/Kimono

Any clothing item that can be worn multiple ways is a winner in my book. When I saw these button down maxi dresses being worn on social media I was intrigued, because it could be worn as a dress or as a kimono/duster type sweater. Genius! After looking at a ton of reviews and finding a print that I liked, I got this fun, bright floral print from Amazon. It is a little long, but with wedges, it’s perfect. I love that the buttons don’t go all the way down, but you can also button or leave unbuttoned as many as you want depending on how much leg you want…

    Sheer Embroidered Overlay

I love good details in my clothing and this light pink/bordering on peach sleeveless top with a sheer embroidered overlay just has the perfect details. The overlay is only in the front and only comes halfway down for a cropped overlay look. There are also white stripes to add to the detailing. I loved pairing this with black cropped leggings for a sleeker look than if I had just paired it with shorts. And one of the best parts of the outfit is my new white lock charm double wrap bracelet. Love this bracelet! Top: J.Crew |  Leggings: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Bracelet: Victoria Emerson (here) Currently, the white…

Red, White, & Blue Stripe Romper

Happy 4th of July! Anyone else seriously annoyed with Instagram being down yesterday? I’m writing this post in advance so I’m assuming it is back up now. Fingers crossed. Yesterday, I shared a red, white, & blue patterned smocked tank top and denim shorts for a casual patriotic look. Today, I’m sharing a white romper with red and blue stripes. So simple yet festive! Romper: Pink Lily Boutique (here) | Sandals: Target I love how soft and comfortable this romper is. And I love how the shorts are longer because some rompers are super short! So this is just really comfortable to wear and appropriate for all types of family and…

Red, White, & Blue Smocked Tank

Can you believe it’s the 4th of July tomorrow? In honor of the holiday I’ve got red, white, and blue outfits to share today and tomorrow! So this tank top is labeled as a “western” top, but I don’t know what really qualifies a top as “western” which is why I just named this post “Red, White, & Blue Smocked Tank” since it has smock detailing. It’s super comfortable and I like that the red and white print on it is sort of faded so it’s not too in your face. Since it is more muted, it’s perfect for all summer and not just for patriotic days. I paired the tank…

    Floral Puff Sleeve Swing Dress

I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start so far! This week is full of more appointments for me – basically taking care of all the things I didn’t have time to do during the school year like get my annual physical etc. But, so far this summer break there have been some fun things too like the book event I went to last week for Spin the Dawn. It was a hot day that day that I went in to the city for the book event. Around 90 degrees and sunny. This floral puff sleeve swing dress was a great outfit choice because the swing style meant…

    Surplice Button Front Dress

I had a couple things on my to-do list last night when I got home and before I went to bed. I accomplished 1 thing. Why? Because I spent hours tearing apart my room looking for an eyelet dress that I can’t remember if I received or not. I pre-ordered a white eyelet dress a while ago and I just remembered last night that I had received an email last week about it being shipped. I can’t remember if I got it or not. Part of me feels like I took it out of the package and part of me doesn’t remember actually getting it and my memory of it is…

    Pearl Barrettes

I’m talking about another trend today – pearl barrettes. When I first saw the hair accessory making it’s rounds around social media my initial thought was “that’s so cute!” which was followed by “But would it make me look like a small child?” But the more I saw all different people wearing the barrettes, I wanted to try it for myself. Since I didn’t want to spend a lot on a hair accessory trend that I may or may not like on myself, I found an assorted pack on Amazon for $11. I tried out the look over the weekend. First, I curled my hair to give it some loose…

    Initial Pendant

Remember back in the day when everyone wore nameplate necklaces? They were really big in middle and high school for me. Some people had simple gold ones, other people had ones that were bedazzled. I think mine had a diamond above the “i” in my name. Then, in recent years people started wearing dainty initial necklaces and last year big statement letters. In recent months, I’ve noticed a trend of wearing rectangle pendants with an initial on the pendant. I really like this style so when I had the opportunity to pick out a piece from a company, I immediately added the initial rectangular pendant to my cart. Now, this…

    Pearl Embellished Shift Dress

I bought this pearl embellished shift dress with a bow back in the fall and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. Graduation this past Friday was that perfect opportunity. Since I was the MC again, I wanted to wear something a little bit nicer than just a regular dress. This champagne colored dress has pearl embellishments towards the bottom and across the neckline. The rest of the dress has a pretty, subtle gold shimmer. The detachable necktie/bow is navy blue and red and has a sparkly embellishment as well. And as an added bonus, it has pockets! Dress: Vici | Shoes: DSW The dress has a…

    Wide Leg Pants

No Sunday blues over here today because I’m officially on summer break! I do have chores/cleaning to do tomorrow though, but at least I won’t have to wake up really early to do them. So these wide leg pants are technically supposed to be cropped pants, but since I am petite, they are more like regular pants on me. I wanted to try out the wide legged trend because it looks so comfy. These have a nice stretchy waist and a really nice ribbed detailing to them. I wore them with a v-neck tee with an arrow print tucked in. I was supposed to wear this look at the Treading…
