    Heart Peplum Sweater

Another sick day for me. I felt worse yesterday than I have since this whole thing started on Friday. Let’s hope that was the worst of it and today I can rest properly since yesterday I was too uncomfortable to rest. Let’s look at an outfit and photos of me when I was healthier and happier, shall we? I wore this black peplum sweater with abstract white hearts all over last week to work. When I wore it to work I wore it with fitted black ankle pants, but here I wore it with white pants and black heels for a fun bright pop. When I got this sweater I…

    Oscars 2020 Red Carpet Picks

Did you watch the Oscars last night? I was half watching all night as I’m still sick. I’m hoping to get back to work tomorrow as being out of work is always more work than going. Anyway, I didn’t see any red carpet looks that absolutely wow’ed me, but I did pick out a few that I really liked. I’m always a sucker for grecian looks and Salma Hayek looked fabulous in this white gown with draping over her left shoulder and gorgeous hair piece. When I first say Natalie Portman‘s gown I thought it was beautiful, but wasn’t crazy about her cape. I was thinking it covered up the gorgeous black…

    XOXO Sweatshirt

Well, the sickness bug got me. I’ve spent the past week doing everything I can (though apparently not enough) to not get sick. So many of my students have been out sick and a lot of staff have been out too. I was supposed to have a fairly busy weekend and had to cancel everything. I’m writing this ahead of time (Saturday night) so hopefully when I wake up I’ll be feeling better. If not, I’ll have to go to the doctor, but I’m hoping to get through it without having to go. On to the point of today’s post though. I’m sharing another sweatshirt that’s perfect for a casual…

    Blouson Sleeve Stitched Sweater

To say I love the details in this blouson sleeve stitched sweater is an understatement. The open knit detailing and blouson sleeve that are not too exaggerated are perfection. Since it is an open-knit I wore a white long sleeve tee underneath when I wore this to work yesterday along with plum stretch cord pants. However, here I am wearing it with a white tank top underneath and jeans for a more casual look. Since Valentine’s Day is coming up soon I also wore this sweater with white beaded heart shaped dangly earrings. I did not wear the earrings to work though cause that would be a bit much! Sweater:…

    Love Sweatshirt

I love a good seasonal or holiday tee or sweatshirt, so it comes as no surprise that I stocked up on a few Valentine’s sweatshirts this year. I posted a roundup of some cute graphic tees and sweatshirts for the holiday over the weekend and today I’m sharing one of those sweatshirts. Last month I met up with Lauren for a little shoot. Little because we did this one super quick, not because we did less looks – I did 3. But, it was super windy and only like 25 degrees so we made it really quick before I froze to death! The one Valentine’s outfit that I did for…

    Open Knit Cowl Neck Sweater

Did you watch the Super Bowl last night? I was only half paying attention as I wasn’t that invested in either team. Some of the commercials were pretty funny although I only half paid attention to those too! The half time show was entertaining. Shakira and JLo are looking better than ever! But, on to today’s blog post. Last Friday, since it was the last Friday of the month, I was able to wear jeans to work. I wore jeans and this light green open knit, dolman sleeve, cowl neck sweater. Sorry, that was a lot of descriptive words. I wore it here with just a white tank top underneath,…

    Valentine’s Graphic Tops

I’ve been seeing so many cute Valentine’s tops out this year. Some that are more dressy like peplum sweaters and nice knits with heart prints (I may have those two things and will be sharing soon…) but graphic tees and sweatshirts are always fun. I thought I would round up a few cute ones that you may also like and can (hopefully) get before Valentine’s Day! Sweatshirt: United Monograms I got this candy heart sweatshirt last winter and it came with matching monogrammed shorts for a casual or pajama set. I can’t link to the United Monogram one, but I did find a very similar one from Etsy along with…

    Stripe Mock Neck Sweater Dress

I love a good sweater dress – especially if it’s cozy. I recently got rid of some old sweater dresses of mine so I was browsing to restock and found this striped mock neck sweater dress. It looked great online so I ordered it and I’m so glad I did! It’s so soft and has a decent thickness/weight to it so it’s nice and warm! I wore it here with taupe over-the-knee boots, but I wore it to work the other day with off-white lace tights and brown slouchy boots. Dress: Kohl’s (here) |Boots: DSW love the ribbed detail of the dress. It gives it a little something extra to the…

    Blue Bobble Cable Knit Sweater

I have been so tired this week, but the bright and happy blue in this bobble cable knit sweater helps wake me up. I love the bobble design of the sweater and mixing it with a classic cable knit makes it even more unique. Sweater: LOFT (here) | Jeans: Express | Bracelet: Macy’s This sweater is so easy to dress up or down. I wore it here with jeans and black UGGs, but I also wore it to work a few days ago with black high-waisted ankle pants. Love it! Lastly, I paired this outfit with my crystal pull chain bracelet. I love pull chain bracelets because you can customize…

    Restyled: Belted Popcorn Sweater Tunic

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty busy and I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me this week, but I think it’ll be nice to have a bit of a routine after such a busy weekend. On Friday night I had that AKT class, which I’m still recovering from by the way, Saturday was Chinese New Year, and yesterday I was invited to attend a Chinese New Year dance performance at NJPAC which I’ll be writing about tomorrow! The show was great, however during intermission of the show I learned about Kobe Bryant and his daughter’s tragic deaths and then it was on my mind and heart for…
