Red, White, & Blue Smocked Tank
Can you believe it’s the 4th of July tomorrow? In honor of the holiday I’ve got red, white, and blue outfits to share todayΒ and tomorrow! So this tank top is labeled as a “western” top, but I don’t know what really qualifies a top as “western” which is why I just named this post “Red, White, & Blue Smocked Tank” since it has smock detailing. It’s super comfortable and I like that the red and white print on it is sort of faded so it’s not too in your face. Since it is more muted, it’s perfect for all summer and not just for patriotic days. I paired the tank…

Blue & White Tassel Romper
On the 4th of July, I wore not one but two blue & white rompers. I’ve had this lace blue & white romper with open back and tassels since last year and haven’t had the chance to share it on here. I thought the holiday was the perfect reason to re-wear it and take photos for the blog. But, it was very hot and humid out and I was moving and unpacking some things at the townhouse so it wasn’t very practical to wear all day. So, I wore it for photos in the morning and then changed into a more comfy blue & white romper for the rest of…

Mixed Berry Trifle
Happy 4th of July! Are you guys (in the US) doing anything fun to celebrate the holiday? I’ve always loved 4th of July because of the fireworks and if you didn’t know fireworks are one of my favorite things ever. Growing up, I was hardly ever home for the 4th of July. My mom had a store and would close for the week of the 4th so my family would always go away on vacation during that week. It was rare that I was home for the holiday, but when I was I loved seeing my town’s fireworks which are pretty spectacular for a town fireworks display. So much so…

4th of July in Cape Cod
After spending Tuesday in Nantucket, my family and I stayed on Cape Cod for the 4th of July. We planned to drive around to some of the other towns, but knew it would be crazy due to the holiday and the little bits we did drive around proved this point so we stayed relatively local. One place I did really want to go to, and luckily we didn’t have any troubles getting there, was the Cape Cod Lavender Farm. Seeing as how I have no immediate plans to head over to Europe to wander the lavender fields I always see and lust over on Instagram, this farm will have to…

4th of July Fresh Fruit Snack
Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! Since I knew I would be away for the holiday, I planned ahead and made a little red, white, and blue snack to share with you all ahead of time. On Pinterest, I saw these cute strawberries cut open with a cheesecake filling topped with a blueberry. Well, I didnβt have time nor did I want to make the effort of making a cheesecake filling so I simplified the dessert/snack. All I did was wash and cut the leaves off the strawberries, cut them open in a cross manner, filled them with whipped cream and topped them with washed blueberries. And…

Let Sparks Fly
I hope everyone who celebrated the 4th of July had a great time! I spent it in the car heading up to Toronto, Canada. Very patriotic of me, I know. I’m up here for a few days for a wedding so it couldn’t be helped. Side story: when I was growing up, I was often away for July 4th. I think there were just a handful, or less, times that I was actually in my hometown for the holiday. When I was growing up, my mom owned a store and she closed it for a week every year during July 4th so that’s when we would go on our summer…
