    Paisley Tacked Ruana

Happy Sunday! Where do the weekends go? I wish they didn’t go so fast. Hopefully today won’t fly by. Today I’m sharing a very casual look. Well, it could be dressed up more, but I wore it dressed down. Last weekend, I wore this floral and paisley tacked ruana with a light blue tee and black leggings. If you don’t know, ruanas are sort of like ponchos or shawls usually. I wore a beautiful plaid one with pompoms on the blog last year (here). This one is definitely lighter weight than that nice fuzzy one. Another difference with this paisley one is that it’s tacked meaning there is stitching under…

    Blue Dolman Sleeve Front Tie

You’ve probably seen this style of top a lot on your social media this summer. You might even own one. So many brands/retailers put out their version of this waffle knit/thermal style tee with buttons and a front tie. What I like about this one is that its a dolman sleeve top so it’s more slouchy and loose aka comfortable! Originally, I wanted this top in a pretty light purple/lavender color but it was sold out in my size. I got it in a light powder blue instead and I really like it! I paired it over the weekend with dark grey shorts and my flatform sandals that I included…

Just Livin’ the Dream Pajamas + Life Update

I was looking at pajama sets earlier this summer when I came across this cute oversized tee + striped shorts set from Gap. I love Gap pajamas – they’re always so comfy and fit well. I loved the graphic on the tee with the colorful “Just Livin’ the Dream” matched with the light blue and white wide striped shorts. It was the perfect pajamas for me to take with me on vacation so I wore them for the whole 2 weeks I was away which happily coincided with my birthday. Pajamas: GAP GAP does mix and match for pajamas so I bought the tee and shorts separately, but I love…

    Eyelet Off-the-Shoulder Sweatshirt

After a very busy week last week and a busy weekend with my friend’s wedding, by Sunday I was exhausted. This doesn’t bode well for me for the next wedding I have next week which is a 4 day affair! Plus, I have some exciting personal things happening next week too – but that’s for another day! Anyway, by Sunday I was feeling pretty beat and it was cold and rainy outside, so I was totally in the comfy clothes mood. I went to visit a friend and her new baby boy and then to another friends’ for a Memorial Day Weekend bbq, which turned in to an indoor bbq…

    Wrap Front Sweater

Does anyone else feel like this week is going at a snail’s pace? I’ve been so busy this week, but for some reason that still hasn’t sped up the week. Hopefully today goes by pretty quick so we can finally get to Friday! I’m sharing a wrap front sweater I wore over the weekend with cropped leggings and a white, lace bodysuit. I love how this lightweight sweater has the overlapping pieces to create the wrap look in the front, but doesn’t involve any ties so it’s really easy to wear. Top: Express | Bodysuit: Express | Leggings: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Mules: Target I really love this…

    Blue & Green Circle Hem

The look I’m sharing today is one of the most comfortable outfits ever. And that’s saying a lot because I live for comfort. I wore this blue/green circle hem top with blue leggings out furniture shopping over the weekend. When you’re out all day, going to various stores, getting in and out of the car, walking around, and sitting on all kinds of chairs and sofas, you want to wear something comfortable. Top: LOFT | Leggings: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Shoes: Keds via DSW The top is really soft and the print on it is fun. I don’t even know what shape those are, but they’re whimsical and…

    Mixed Stitch Cable

Today’s my last day of spring break. How a week could go by so quick, I’ll never know. I’m not quite ready to go back to work tomorrow, nor the whirlwind the rest of the school year will be as it always is after spring break. But in any case, I’m sharing this casual look from a few days ago. This sweater has a mixed stitch cable knit making it lightweight and different. I wore a cami underneath, marled leggings, and blush quilted slip ons. Sweater: American Eagle | Leggings: Express | Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW Since the sweater is mixed stitch, the sides have an open knit and…

Tied Plaid Top + High Waisted Denim

I have entered in to the high waisted jean/pant world. Okay, I only have one pair – this pair that I’m wearing in this post, but I’m actually loving them which I wasn’t expecting. For the longest time, I avoided high-waisted jeans because I didn’t think they’d be comfortable or look good on me because I have a short torso. But the more I saw them on people of all different body types, the more I wanted to try them out. Since so many tops and sweaters are shorter nowadays or a crop length, I thought it’d be a good idea to at least try out a pair of high…

    Buffalo Check Shirt Jacket

Do you know the difference between buffalo check and plaid? I’ll be honest and tell you I wasn’t sure what the difference was and had to look it up. Buffalo check or buffalo plaid is the name for larger, square checkered plaid. I love this green and blue buffalo check shirt jacket. Shirt jackets are in-between shirts and jackets, but I wouldn’t wear this as a jacket. I think it just makes for a cozy top or pullover. I love the pocket details and the gold zipper. The zipper goes quite low so I would say it’s more of a half zip than a quarter zip. Top: J.Crew Factory |…

    Pearl Embellished Sweatshirt

Did you watch the Super Bowl last night? I’m going to be talking about that for a little bit so if it’s of no interest to you skip down to the 4th paragraph! So I’m so happy the Eagles won the game. I’m not an Eagles fan – I’m a Giants fan – but I can’t stand Tom Brady and as a byproduct the Patriots so I was really happy to see the Eagles win! The last 2 minutes had my anxiety levels through the roof, but it all worked out in the end! I really liked Justin Timberlake’s halftime performance. Being a JT fan, I thought he did a…
