A Deal with the Elf King by @elise.kova has been o A Deal with the Elf King by @elise.kova has been on my tbr for months. I finally read it last week and really enjoyed it! 💚 👑. This is the first book in the Married to Magic series which are standalone novels set in the same world. In this one Luella is a human living in a small village when she finds out she actually has magic 🪄 . For hundreds of years whoever has been serving as Elf King in Midscape has taken a wife from her village. It can’t be any young woman, it has to be someone with magic and she becomes the Human Queen 👸🏻. Luella is taken to keep the treaty in place. Over time she begins to love Midscape and maybe even the Elf King, Eldas, too? Being a big fan of The Spanish Love Deception, I w Being a big fan of The Spanish Love Deception, I was so excited to read the spin-off, The American Roommate Experiment, and it did not disappoint! 📖💙 The American Roommate Experiment is the story of Rosie (Lina’s best friend from TSLD) and Lucas (Lina’s cousin from Spain). Rosie quit her job a few months ago to pursue her romance writing career full time, but she has writer’s block and an impending deadline ✍🏻 💻 . A disaster occurs at her apartment leaving her no choice but to stay at Lina’s old apartment while Lina and Aaron are away on their honeymoon. What Rosie doesn’t know is that Lina promised the apartment to Lucas who will be in town for a few weeks 👀. The temporary roommates get to know each other and help each other out. Lina helps Lucas open up about something bothering him with his pro-surfing career 🏄‍♂️ and Lucas offers to take Rosie out on experimental dates to give her inspiration for her new book 👩‍❤️‍👨. I loved this slow burn, friends to lovers, forced proximity story! Rosie and Lucas were perfect together! I loved the friendship they had and really enjoyed seeing it turn into something more 👫😍. It was hard to think of answers and to probably no one’s surprise a few of my answers are ACOTAR related 🤣📚 ✨A book I’m obsessed with✨: A Court of Wings and Ruin – I will always love when Feyre and Rhys are reunited in ACOWAR 😍. ✨Characters I think about daily✨: Bryce Quinlan & Hunt Athalar – I love these characters as individuals and together 👩‍❤️‍👨 ✨A universe/setting that lives rent free in my head✨: Velaris – who wouldn’t want to live in the City of Starlight? 🌌 ✨A character cast/ensemble I love for✨: the Night Court/the inner circle🗡🌌 ✨A relationship I love✨: Garrett Graham & Hannah Wells – I absolutely adore these two together in The Deal. They have each other’s backs no matter what and helped each other heal from past traumas.😍💗👩‍❤️‍👨 🏒 ✨A fictional ending that scarred me✨: The ending of Verity didn’t scar me, but it’s one I think about a lot and will forever stand by my opinion of being Team Manuscript. 📕 ✨An ending that healed me✨: The ending of One True Loves healed me with how anxiety filled I was reading it.
