Photo Challenge: Favorite Place
Since I wrote about Hawaii in my photo challenge response last week I didn’t want to talk about it again this week for “Favorite Place” even though Hawaii is one of my favorites places on earth. Instead, I decided to use a photo from another place I love – Disney World! I went to Disney World this past December and while I’ve been there a handful of times before this was the first time I’ve gone at Christmas time and it was as magical as I had been anticipating. Magic Kingdom is my favorite – it’s just so magical and when you’re there (or at least when I’m there) it really…

Photo Challenge: Sweet
Happy Friday! I’ve been having pretty good or at least decent days lately but yesterday I felt really frustrated and annoyed for various reasons. Lately, I’ve been practicing the idea of thinking positive and giving off positive energy so I’ll receive positive energy and good things back. Ya know, that whole idea of law of attraction. But yesterday really had me wondering if I should just scrap it all! I didn’t let the bad day get to me and I got home from work, did my BBG work out for the day and relaxed while watching the Olympics and felt better. Today I’m going to a professional development workshop at…

Photo Challenge: Growth
It’s Friday and a 3-day weekend is upon us! Do you guys have any plans? For last week’s photo challenge on The Daily Post, they challenged participants to share a photo that represented “Growth“. The first idea that comes to mind is a plant or something growing. I decided not to go with that and use a photo from my Disney vacation during the holidays. If you follow my blog regularly then you may have already seen this photo from when I was at Magic Kingdom and saw the fireworks. I love fireworks and I always love trying to capture photos of them. This photo of the fireworks shooting up…

Foodie Diary: Disney/Universal
I hope you’re not sick of my travel posts yet, but this is my last one and then it’s back to regular programming! This post has photos of all the food I ate while on vacation last week. Well, relevant food that is – I didn’t think it necessary to post my continental breakfast every day! I’m not going to go in to much detail on each meal because that would take forever, but I will link to the restaurant and tell you the name of each dish! Disney Springs For dinner in Disney Springs the first night we got to Florida, my family and I went to Frontera Cocina, a…

Disney Vacation – Day 4: Magic Kingdom
I can’t believe it’s 2018! That just sounds crazy! I’ve been away the past week and arriving back home on New Year’s Eve really has me turned around. Yesterday didn’t feel like New Year’s Eve since I was traveling so today being New Year’s day feels a bit weird. But anyway, on to today’s post. The other day, I mentioned that Magic Kingdom is indeed magical. The most magical of all the Disney parks, in my opinion. So on Friday, we spent the entire day at Magic Kingdom. It was our last Disney day as the following day I’d be going to Universal, purely for the Wizarding World of Harry…

Disney Vacation Day 3: Magic Kingdom & Epcot
If you’ve been to Disney World and especially if you’re fan I think you’ll understand what I mean when I say there’s a certain feeling of magic and wonder when you first walk through the gates of Magic Kingdom. It is the happiest place on earth after all! The music starts right away, the decorations are everywhere and you make your way to Main Street which feels like a dream world with the iconic Cinderella Castle greeting you at the end of the street. On Day 3 we spent a few hours at Magic Kingdom before spending the rest of the day at Epcot. We didn’t have any FastPasses for…

Disney Vacation Day 2: Animal Kingdom & Hollywood Studios
On Day 2 of my Christmas vacation to Disney World, we went to both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. I haven’t been to either of these parks in years so it was nice to return. The last time I was near Animal Kingdom it was a few years ago for lunch at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I wasn’t at the actual park. And the last time I was at Hollywood Studios was when I was a freshman in college, I believe, and that was quite a number of years ago. The parks are always being updated and new things being added. This year Pandora – the Avatar section –…

Photo Challenge:Face
It’s finally Friday! It sure took it’s time this week. This past week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Face“. This was probably one of the most challenging photo challenges for me because I didn’t want to use a photo of the face of a friend or family member as I don’t normally include photos of them so it would be weird to do for a photo challenge. Not to mention, I’m not sure if any of them would agree! Plus, I like when I can make my photo challenge responses be at least somewhat artistic (when I’m able to) and I think a random photo of a friend…

Restaurant Review: Be Our Guest
“Beauty & the Beast” is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies so when Disney built the Be Our Guest Restaurant, I knew I had to go. I’d heard great things about the restaurant and the experience there and I have to say it did not disappoint. First off, atop the restaurant is a large miniature version of the Beauty & the Beast Castle so when you go past the gates and enter into the restaurant it gives the appearance that you’re entering the castle. At night, the castle looks stunning as from far away the lit up castle appears to be a full sized castle in the distance. Doesn’t…
