    Floral Jacquard Puff Sleeve Top

I love jacquard sweaters and tops. The patterns and texture are always so pretty. This puff sleeve top is nice because it’s not too thick so it’s perfect for this time of year. The little puff detailing at the sleeves is so sweet and I love the floral design. I wore this top with my favorite busted knee jeans for these photos, but I wore the top to work a few days ago with dark grey pants so it’s easy to dress up or down. I really loved pairing the top with distressed jeans because it’s a mix of pretty/conservative and edgy. Top: LOFT (here) | Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch…

    Tiled Jacquard Skirt

Let’s just start this post off with me professing my love for this tiled jacquard skirt. It is so pretty, has the softest texture, and is so comfortable! It’s a win all around really. I recently wore it to work with knit tights, burgundy booties, a tiered light pink blouse, and white cardigan. I know it seems like a lot going on in one outfit, but I think it all worked together for a winter friendly work outfit. Cardigan: Chadwick’s | Blouse: H&M | Skirt: LOFT | Tights: Macy’s | Boots: DSW The tiled jacquard design is so beautiful and the colors are perfect. The colors and design of this…

    Jacquard Cropped Pants

Happy Friday! If you’re a regular follower of Life According to Jamie you may be wondering why I’m not posting a photo challenge response post today. The Daily Post took the week off last week from posting challenges so although they did post one this week, I always post mine a week behind. This is because they post their new weekly photo challenges on Wednesdays and I’ve gotten in the habit of posting my responses on Fridays and most times 2 days isn’t enough time for me to get a proper photo for the challenge. So my photo challenge Friday posts will pick back up next week! Well, after that…

    Floral Jacquard Cardigan

Two things I love are florals and cardigans. I mean, I just wrote about both yesterday. This floral is perfect for the winter though because it’s not bright or summery. This jacquard cardigan is grey with large black droopy flowers. I decided to brighten it up with a mint green tank top underneath. Cardigan: LOFT | Top: Old Navy There were pros and cons to wearing this sleeveless top under this cardigan. For one, I love the mint green paired with this grey and black cardigan. It is a subtle pop of color and just goes really well. But, the downside is that wearing a sleeveless top left my arms bare…

    Jacquard Knit Sweater Dress

I’ve always loved sweater dresses and I love that they have come back in style in a big way this year. They’re the perfect way to look stylish in the colder weather. I picked up this pink, jacquard knit sweater dress on sale from H&M in the early winter and was so thankful that it was not itchy. The worst part about sweaters is probably the fact that so many of them end up being itchy and who on earth wants to be uncomfortable and trying to discreetly scratch all day long? Not me, that’s for sure. This sweater dress is nice and soft and I like that it’s a…

    Diamond Jacquard Sweater

LOFT, one of my all-time favorite stores (if you couldn’t tell by all the clothing I own from there), had a 50% off sale right after the holidays. This diamond jacquard sweater was calling my name and I couldn’t just ignore it! Top: LOFT Pants: LOFT Shoes:  Chinese Laundry via DSW Watch:  Fossil The sweater is so soft and cozy – perfect for a chilly, winter day. It’s a little fuzzy so I was afraid it might be itchy, but I’m happy to report that I was not scratching away while wearing it! It is a mohair and silk blend with the diamond jacquard stitching and light grey trim on…

    Jacquard Fair Isle Sweater

Today’s my first day back to work after my lovely break.(Actually as I’m typing this on Sunday night, I’m dreading waking up early in the morning.) It was a great break of seeing family and friends, celebrating, relaxing, and not doing nearly as much work as I should have done. I caught up with friends and got my hair redone. All in all it was an amazing break and I wish it didn’t have to end! Anyway, this first day back loomed over me all weekend, so here’s hoping the day goes by quickly with no bumps. Last Friday, I was in the mood to wear earthy tones. I was…
