I can’t believe that Romeo + Juliet came out in theaters 18 years ago. I hadn’t seen this movie in a long time until this week. My 9th graders finished reading the play last week and I told them we could watch the movie this week (our last week of school). I gave the students the option of watching this Leonardo DiCaprio version or the Zeffirelli version from 1968.
