Hiddensee: A Tale of the Once and Future Nutcracker
I’m back with a holiday appropriate book review just in time for Christmas! I just finished reading Hiddensee: A Tale of the Once and Future Nutcracker yesterday and had to write down my thoughts on the book before the holiday passed. The novel is written by famous author, Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. Knowing that and the fact that I adore The Nutcracker I wanted to read this to get me in the Christmas mood. Book Review: Jasmine
I’m back with a book review as I’ve just finished the book Jasmine last night. This book by Bharati Mukherjee was the book my students and I chose for our book club. One of my students brought it up and said she wanted to read it because it was on our AP Literature list and after taking a vote between that and another book – Jasmine won out. I’m going to be totally honest about this book – I’m not sure why it’s on an AP Literature list. And just like that it’s the end of May!
