And just like that it’s the end of May! I’ve been so busy this month that it’s been hard to keep track of everything but I’ve kept a running list of things I’ve been loving this month so I could do this post. Also, the 3 day weekend has me so confused and thrown with what day of the week it is!
For my first favorite of the month, I’ve been loving my gold & green Hashtag Sunnies. They’re incredibly lightweight and I love the gold and green combo. You can use my code NewShades4You for 10% off your order!
My next favorite is my Clarins Lip Comfort Oil that I got from Influenster. It’s so comfortable on the lips and super moisturizing! I wrote about it (here).
I have 2 snack favorites to share this month – one’s healthy and one, not so much. Cherries are in season and I’ve been eating a bunch lately. They’ve been so sweet and I love when they’re crunchy. My other favorite has been caramel corn. It’s been a while since I’ve had caramel corn, but as a favor at my friend’s bridal shower recently butter popcorn and caramel popcorn were given. It was so yummy and now I need to get some more from the market when I go grocery shopping.
My next favorite is a book. I reread Jane Eyre in order to better teach it to my students. I hadn’t read it since I was in high school (let’s not talk about how many years ago that was) and I fell back in love with it. I loved it so much and admire how Charlotte Bronte bucked tradition by making her heroine “plain”. Some of my students think it’s boring and some love it. For me, I’ll always love Mr. Rochester.
Did you watch this past season of Dancing with the Stars? There wasn’t any celebrity/couple that I was absolutely crazy about, but there were a few I didn’t mind see winning. My pick was Rashad & Emma. Their freestyle was so fun and it had me smiling throughout!
The song I’ve been listening to a lot this month and loving is Panic! At the Disco’s “Hallelujah”. I know this song is like 2 years old, but Brendan Urie was recently on The Tonight Show sitting in with The Roots and he was playing this song and since then it’s been stuck in my head!
That does it for my May favorites! What are some things you loved this month?
