    Green & Pink Paisley

I have had this top for years. I kept forgetting about it and whenever I would purge my closet to sell and donate pieces I would come across it and refuse to give it up because I love the print and colors so much. So I packed it to go with me on my weekend trip to Toronto over Memorial Day Weekend and since I only packed a carry-on, I had no choice but to wear it since it’d been a while! I love the green and pink paisley print of this top – the perfect spring colors. This top is actually a tunic, but I decided to twist it up…

    Paisley Tacked Ruana

Happy Sunday! Where do the weekends go? I wish they didn’t go so fast. Hopefully today won’t fly by. Today I’m sharing a very casual look. Well, it could be dressed up more, but I wore it dressed down. Last weekend, I wore this floral and paisley tacked ruana with a light blue tee and black leggings. If you don’t know, ruanas are sort of like ponchos or shawls usually. I wore a beautiful plaid one with pompoms on the blog last year (here). This one is definitely lighter weight than that nice fuzzy one. Another difference with this paisley one is that it’s tacked meaning there is stitching under…

    Restyled: Paisley Skort

Last time I wore this paisley skort on here it was colder weather and I wore it with a grey long sleeve sweat top, a denim jacket, and over the knee boots. This time around I styled it for summer with a light pink tee and bronze sandals. Tee: Aerie | Skort: ASOS | Sandals: Target | Sunglasses: LOFT | Purse: Coach This pink tee with front pocket is loose so it tucked in nicely without being too tight around my waist or too short to properly tuck in. I thought it was a nice color to pair the skort with and keep it light and summery. Like yesterday’s post I wore this…

    Paisley Layered Sweater

Oh Monday. Winter break is so close, I can smell it. Definitely not ready for Christmas yet though! I’ve written about my love for sweaters with peekaboo layering before, but this one has an extra surprise. Not only is the paisley shirt design at the hem of the sweater, but the whole back is made up of the same paisley design and material! Sweater: LOFT | Pants: Uniqlo | Shoes: Kohl’s I love the berry color of this sweater. It’s perfect for the fall and winter. I’m a fan of paisley so the print on this sweater mixed with the berry color is love. I especially like the button detail on the…

    Fall Restyling: Paisley Dress

Back in August I wrote about this paisley dress that I wore to my friend’s bridal shower and mentioned how the muted colors would lend themselves really nicely to the fall. Well, I restyled it this fall and wanted to share how the look changed from the summer to the fall! Dress: Old Navy | Cardigan: American Eagle | Boot Socks: American Eagle | Boots: DSW | Watch: Michael Kors In August, I wore the dress just as it is because it was summer and so I could show off my shoulders with the spaghetti straps. I also wore brown wedges and sunglasses. This time around it was cooler out and I was wearing…

    Muted Paisley

My first day back to work yesterday wasn’t too bad, but I’m still not out of summer mode yet. This past weekend was filled with showers of the baby and bridal variety (but of course I showered too). I wore a tiered dress with a pink paisley design to my friend’s bridal shower on Sunday. I titled this post “Muted Paisley” because the color scheme is so subdued and gentle. I’m used to paisley designs being bright and bold so this was a nice change. Dress: Old Navy (here) I enjoy tiered dresses – I find them flattering on all body types. And this print! I really love this print.…

    Textured Paisley

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all my readers who celebrated! I made dinner for my mom last night, so food posts about some of the dishes will be coming up in the future. Onto today’s post! Blouses, like cardigans, are one of my work style staples. Having blouses in different colors and different prints is one way to switch things up, but it’s not often that you find blouse with some texture involved. I got this blouse as a Christmas gift and I love the black trim and textured paisley design. Blouse: LOFT | Watch: Fossil I paired this blouse with black dress pants for work. This black & white combo…

    Multicolored Paisley Front Zip

I’m one of those people that when I find a piece of clothing I really like, I want to buy it in multiple colors. I know some of you readers are the same way! Back in October, I posted a look featuring a black and white paisley front zip top from Express. Well, later on in the season I picked up another one, this time a multicolored one! I love this black zip front top with the multicolored paisley print. I wore this a few weeks ago and don’t worry, I wore a knit cardigan with it! I love the colors in this paisley print. It is so fun and pretty. I would…

    Paisley Skater Skort

Two trends I’m loving are skater skirts and over-the-knee boots. So I ordered a few skater skirts from ASOS a while ago. I got 2 solid-colored skirts and 1 paisley. Now, the info for the paisley one (and I double checked) said “skirt” so I was surprised to find upon receiving it that it was actually a skort! No complaints from me though because I love skorts and I actually think it makes this piece look even better because it makes the pleats more prominent. Skort: ASOS Top: Old Navy Denim Jacket: LOFT Boots: Chinese Laundry via DSW Watch: Fossil I love this paisley skort. So as to not take away…

    Paisley Front Zip Top

Happy Monday! It is a “happy” Monday indeed because I have the day off for Columbus Day! Setting aside the fact that Columbus may not have been the greatest person ever, I am happy to have a much needed 3-day weekend. I plan to make the most of today and get some things done for the week ahead, run errands, and get myself to the gym. That’s the plan at least, let’s see how it goes! Today, I’m sharing with you a look from September. This loose, sleeveless, black & white paisley front zip top is flowy yet is made of a thicker material than you would think. It definitely has a nice weight to…
