Paisley Tacked Ruana

Happy Sunday! Where do the weekends go? I wish they didn’t go so fast. Hopefully today won’t fly by.

Today I’m sharing a very casual look. Well, it could be dressed up more, but I wore it dressed down. Last weekend, I wore this floral and paisley tacked ruana with a light blue tee and black leggings. If you don’t know, ruanas are sort of like ponchos or shawls usually. I wore a beautiful plaid one with pompoms on the blog last year (here). This one is definitely lighter weight than that nice fuzzy one. Another difference with this paisley one is that it’s tacked meaning there is stitching under the arms to create flowy/billowy sleeves/arm holes in the ruana.

I love the colors and print of the ruana. It’s so pretty and I think the ruana can be dressed up or down. Wear it with skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots for a more put-together look. Wear it dressed down like I did here with leggings. It would look great with a solid colored dress underneath too.

It’s got such pretty colors for fall and I can see myself wearing it multiple times until the weather gets too cold.
