• Grapevine Dress + Denim Jacket

    Restyled: Belted Grapevine Dress

I love sharing restylings because it shows you ways to wear an item in a different way. I shared this drop waist grapevine print dress last year and wore it simply with double strapped taupe sandals. I wanted to wear it this week and I thought it would look so good belted with a white belt to break up the print and also to cinch the waist a little tighter than the drawstring waist. So I styled it with my white double o-ring belt, white mules (that I shared yesterday), and I draped a denim jacket over my shoulders. Dress: Vici | Denim Jacket: LOFT | Mules: Vici | Belt: Amazon…

Restyled: Oversized Turtleneck + Denim Jumpsuit

I know it seems like a lot of bloggers – fashion ones anyway – are always shopping and sharing new outfits. It’s true and I’m guilty of it too, but I also wear a lot of things for years. I know some bloggers who buy things and then never wear them because the item sells out and they don’t want to wear it since they can’t share it with followers. And that’s perfectly fine if that is what they want to do, but I will always wear what I like and want to wear regardless of whether it’s old or sold out. That’s why I like doing restylings. It not…

  • Yellow Floral Midi + Crop Top

Restyled: Yellow Floral Midi + Ribbed Crop Top

A few weeks ago I wore my yellow floral midi dress that I hadn’t worn in a while and while I was wearing it I thought to myself “Hey this dress would look really good layered with my ribbed crop top that has the wide neck line/almost off the shoulder look”. It looked good in my head at least and so I put it together and loved it! I put the outfit together with my brown strappy sandals and beaded bracelet stack for a family bbq last weekend. Dress: Old Navy | Crop Top: Abercrombie & Fitch | Sandals: DSW (here) | Bracelets: The Styled Collection (here and here) I…

  • Palm Print Sweater Tank + Beaded Heart Earrings

Restyled: Palm Print & Beaded Hearts

Happy Labor Day! I hope all of you who have off for the long weekend are enjoying your day. I’m officially (minus furniture) moved out of my townhouse and back at my parents’ for the next few weeks. I’m back to work tomorrow and this time with students so I’ll officially be back to work and not just sitting through meetings and presentations. But I’m not letting go of summer completely just yet so I’m back with a restyling of my palm print sweater tank. I wore it on the blog a few summers ago with cropped leggings while I was in Cape Cod. Or maybe it was on the…

  • Lace Cardigan + Floral Top

Restyled: Lace Cardigan + Floral Hi-Lo

Yesterday’s outfit that I shared was from when I was sightseeing at Alcatraz and Angel Island during my San Francisco vacation. Today I’m sharing the outfit I wore on my day trip to Monterey, Carmel, and 17-Mile Drive! For this day I knew I wanted to wear something that was comfortable for the drive and also something with layers since I didn’t know what the weather would be like from town to town. I decided to wear leggings so I would be comfortable all day, so I needed to wear a top that would work with them. I wore a long cardigan with a lace bottom and a floral hi-lo…

  • Green Smock Top + Mustard Yellow Mules

Restyled: Green Smock Top + Mustard Bow Mules

Sharing another restyling today. The purpose for this restyling is to show off my new shoes! I’ve been loving the bow mule trend – the kind with the cutout between the bow and the toes. When I saw these mustard colored ones I thought they were so cute. I was a bit hesitant at first to get them because I wasn’t sure if I could match them with a lot of outfits. But, I decided that everyone loves mustard, myself included, and it would actually go with a lot more than at first thought. Plus, it would be a departure from the normal black, grey, taupe, white shoes. So I…

Restyled: Shaker Knit Sweater + Plaid Shirt Dress

I hope you all had a good weekend and you’re not too down about the fact that it’s back to work today. The outfit I’m sharing today is not just a restyling of the sweater and of the plaid shirt dress, but it’s also kind of a throwback look since it’s kind of 90s looking. I wanted to wear this blue and green plaid shirt dress to work last week, but I knew with it’s lightweight material that I’d need a sweater since I would most likely be cold. Instead of wearing it with a cardigan, I decided to wear my shaker knit sweater over it. I wore sweater tights and…

  • Lace Dot Cami + Heart Pompom Cardigan

Restyled: Heart Pompom Cardigan + Lace Dot Cami

Happy Valentine’s Day! In honor of the heart holiday I wanted to restyle my heart pompom cardigan from last winter. Last year on the blog I styled it with a strappy white tank top with crochet trip. This year I went with a little more color – a pink lace trim dot cami. I’m so happy I bought this cardigan last year – it’s such good quality and super warm. Warm enough that I was not cold in the slightest wearing just a cami underneath in the freezing temps. Cardigan: Chicwish | Cami: Abercrombie & Fitch | Leggings: J.Crew I’ve seen versions of this cardigan back out this winter and I’m…

    Restyled: Christmas Plaid Cape

Can you believe it’s the weekend before Christmas?! I can’t. It really crept up on us this year, I feel! I’ve wrapped a majority of my gifts so far. I have a just a few things left which I’ll get to later this weekend. Last winter I shared this perfect Christmas Plaid Cape. I wore it in that blog post with a mixed chevron white sweater and red velvet leggings. This time around I wore it with a plain white long sleeve v-neck tee, black pants, and green Hunter boots. I wanted to take advantage of my holiday shoot with Lauren to get some great shots of this amazing cape.…

  • Green Velvet Dress

    Restyled: Green Velvet

I had originally planned to wear this green velvet dress to work yesterday, but I changed my mind and wore a different velvet dress instead. I may wear this later in the week, but in any case I had taken these photos over the weekend thinking I would be wearing it to work. I first styled this dress on here two Christmases ago I believe. It is the prettiest green velvet. The dress is meant to be off the shoulder and has drapey short sleeves that bell out. I wore it last time on here with a open-knit cardigan that has gold thread running through the cream fabric. This time…
