    Peach Shimmer Ruffle Vents

A few weeks ago I shared a grey ruffle vent top with a pink heart print. When I bought that top, I also bought it in this light pink/peach shade with little gold shimmer in it. You can’t really see the shimmer in the top in these photos because it is super subtle, but trust me – it’s there! Top: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Jeans: Uniqlo | Shoes: Target I wish the shimmer showed up in photos! But like I mentioned above, it is very subtle and it’s part of the material – it’s not like glittery or on top of the fabric. I paired this top with…

    Green Floral Foil Ruffle Sleeve

It’s my first day of Thanksgiving break and it could not come at a better time! I need the mental break even though I have plenty of work that I could do. I did get a little bit of work done last night so I don’t feel too bad and I’m going to try to get more done this morning so I can relax the rest of the week. So I know the title of this post is pretty wordy, but I like it. I first saw this top at Kohl’s, in-store, when I was looking for a gift. The beautiful green, peach, and gold floral print caught my eye…

    Bright Stripe Wrap Dress

Continuing on with my summer looks, I’m sharing this bright striped ruffle wrap dress today. Well, it looks like a wrap dress but it’s all stitched and doesn’t require any tying or buttons so I guess it’s more a “wrap style” dress. I love the ruffle detailing and the rainbow bright stripes are so fun and just scream summer. Since the dress is pretty low cut I wore a lace bandeau underneath. Dress: ASOS | Bandeau: Aerie | Flip Flops: Old Navy This dress makes me want to go on a tropical vacation. Like, now. It also reminds me of popsicles – in the best way possible. Now I’m off…

Red & White Striped Ruffled Dress

As I write this, I’m back from Kyoto and back in my hotel room in Tokyo. If you read my post yesterday then you know about the air conditioning debacle and I’m happy to say that day 2 in Kyoto was much better! Still the weekend in Kyoto was a whirlwind. I loved the sites I saw and soaking up some of the historical, cultural, and religious sites, but it was tiring for sure. I will write about day 2 in Kyoto for tomorrow’s post. Today is just a quick post sharing this red and white striped t-shirt dress with ruffled trim on the arms. I wore it the other…

    Gingham Ruffle One-Piece

Last year I wrote about my new love for one-piece bathing suits. Seriously, they’ve become super cute the past few years and I feel so much more comfortable in them than two-pieces. Even with plunging necklines and side cutouts, I just feel more comfortable. I picked up a few new ones for this summer and I love them all! I recently hung out at my friend’s house and she has a pool in her backyard so I took a few photos of my new gingham ruffle one-piece. Bathing Suit: Aerie | Sunglasses: Express I think the colors in this suit are so fun and I love the style. It’s got a high…

    Pearl Embellished Chambray Dress

I love chambray because it is so soft and buttery to the touch. It’s got the look of denim but is so much softer and more comfortable. I saw some people getting in to the whole denim dress trend in the spring, which I thought was cute but I didn’t know how comfortable it would be. But when I saw this chambray dress with pearl embellishments I knew it would be comfy! The pearl embellishments are spread out and pretty simple – they just add a touch of elegance to this summer dress. But perhaps the real star of this piece is the ruffled back! Dress: Francesca’s | Sandals: Express The…

    Striped Ruffle Pocket Tee

Do you follow Rachel Parcell on Instagram or her blog? I love her style and she has her own brand/line. The pieces she designs are gorgeous but pricey. However, not too long ago she launched her Everyday Shop which is not a more budget friendly line. She doesn’t design these pieces, but does the buying for the line. When I saw her do a try-on of some spring pieces on her Instastories I had to have this grey striped tee because the ruffle pocket was just too cute! I wore the tee with multicolored tassel earrings, denim shorts, and flip flops over the weekend for a casual and cute look. Tee:…

    Tiered Lace Ruffles

The only thing better than lace and ruffles is a top where the two are combined! I’ve been waiting to wear this lace tiered ruffle top for so long. I got it right before the weather turned cold back in the fall and then it was too cold to wear! I finally got the chance to wear it last week and it was everything I wanted and more. So pretty, cute and feminine. I wore a navy blue tank top underneath and grey pants. To finish off the look I wore black sandals with tassels. Top: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Pants: Uniqlo | Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad via…

    Navy Hydrangea Bouquet Dress

Mondays always come so quickly don’t they? I hope you all had a nice weekend. The weather was finally nice all weekend here! Today I’m sharing another outfit that I have been waiting to wear for a while. I rarely have a problem wearing dresses in the winter, but when the dress has sheer sleeves then I feel the need to wait until warmer weather returns. So I finally got to wear this dress last week and the all over hydrangea bouquet print and ruffles across the top and sleeves are so pretty! This was the first dress of the year that I wore to work without tights and it…

    Ruffle Balloon Sleeves

I’ve been waiting for the weather to be warm enough to wear this sweater. You might be wondering why I would need it to warm up in order to wear a sweater. Well it’s because this isn’t just your ordinary ruffle balloon sleeve sweater. The shoulders have little perforations. Such a pretty detail, but definitely not ideal if it’s too cold out! Sweater: Express | Jeans: Kohl’s | Necklace: LOFT | Shoes: DSW It was really windy when I took these photos over the weekend and still didn’t really feel like spring, but my floral slip ons helped. I wore this fuzzy, yet light sweater, with jeans and a stone…
