Ruffle Smocked Floral Dress

I think smocked material is one of the best inventions ever. The stretchiness of it always makes clothing more comfortable. I wore this ruffle neckline smocked floral dress a few days ago in one of the first days I’ve gotten dressed and worn makeup since I had surgery last week. I’m definitely feeling more normal now that I can wash my hair (with the help of my mom and lots of gauze and plastic wrap on my ear). Hopefully at my follow-up appointment on Tuesday the doctor will say I can start washing my hair in the shower normally now, especially since I start work on Wednesday.

I love the floral print of this smocked dress and the delicate ruffle neckline. The dress could probably also be worn off the shoulder, but I didn’t try. The dress is so pretty and can be dressed up or down. I wore it here with sandals, but if I were going out I could wear it with wedges or heels. If I wanted to dress it down further I could wear it with white sneakers and a jean jacket in the fall. I love when there’s lots of possibilities of ways to wear a piece!
