    Relaxed V-Neck Sweater

I hope you all had a good weekend and managed to stay in as much as possible! I have to go in to work today to prepare for how we’re going to be doing home/online instruction for our students for however long we need to be out. Not going to lie, I’m feeling some anxiety about going in and being around a large group of people! I really think social distancing is the best thing we can all do right now to try to stay healthy and keep this from spreading even more. Wish me luck today! I’m sharing a sweater I wore to work last week, back when work…

Ballet Crossover Top + Resin Necklace

Happy Friday! This week was a long one and every day I woke up and lamented that it still was nowhere near Friday. But it’s finally the end of the work week and I could not be more ready for the end of the day. Plus, tonight I’m going to see Ed Sheeran in concert! Follow my instastories to follow along with me and I’ll write up a post about the show later this weekend. On to today’s post, though. I wore this ballet crossover top and resin statement necklace to work earlier this week and it was the epitome of comfortable and stylish. The top is so flowy and…

    Mint + Statement Necklace Love

I’ve mentioned countless times on here that green is my favorite color – all shades of green. But, mint green really is one of the top shades if not the top. Mint green is the perfect spring color so I was happy to break out this lightweight sweater for a cool spring day last month. Top: Forever21 | Necklace: Nordstrom | Pants: Macy’s | Shoes: Kohl’s This sweaterΒ has a really lightweight and thin knit so it’s perfect for a cool spring day. The white button-down collared look is attached. I love faux layered looks because they look so smart and yet you didn’t have to actually layer on your own!…

Lavender Jegging Sweater + Statement Necklace

This lavender sweater is so soft that I wish I got it in more colors. American Eagle calls it a “jegging sweater” and I haven’t been able to find out why it’s called that. So if anyone knows, please let me know! Anyway, I wore this super soft sweater to work recently. I think normally people would wear it more casually with jeans, which totally works for me, but since I did decide to wear it to work on this particular day I wanted to dress it up a little. To dress it up I wore a statement necklace with translucent baubles and I think it went perfectly! Sweater: American…

    Collared! Statement Necklaces

Collared! Statement Necklaces by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring 14k gold earrings “There’s nothing interesting about looking perfect. You lose the point. You want what you’re wearing to say something about you. About who you are.”Β – Emma Watson When Polyvore had aΒ statement necklace style challenge, I decided to create a look around this beautiful peridot and apatite necklace. With the light green stones (my birthstone) and the two shades of blue in the apatite gems I thought a white dress would do the necklace the most justice. This off-the-shoulder dress is the perfect summer to fall transition piece because you can easily pair this dress with a cardigan or denim jacket. The…

    Winter Jewel Tones

Tomorrow may be the first day of spring, but with the unpredictable weather I figured I can’t go wrong sharing this winter jewel toned look.Β Usually when you think of jewel tones, pastels don’t come to mind. They seem like colors of opposite seasons with jewel tones being more for the winter with their richer colors and pastels for spring and summer since they are so light colored. But then again, we tend to pair lights and darks together so why wouldn’t they go together? I suppose just the label of “jewel toned” and “pastel” make them seem like they aren’t supposed to go together. Well, I wore a light pastel…

    Yea or Nay: Statement Necklaces

It’s been a little while since my last Yea or Nay post so I thought I should get on that! How do you feel about statement necklaces? I love the look of them, but I must admit I don’t wear them too often. I have a handful of them, but I only wear them once in a while because my weekly wardrobe mostly consists of work wear and on a majority of those days I want to just keep things simple in terms of jewelry opting for nothing but a watch and occasionally other dainty pieces. Every once in a while though you want something to really stand out and…
