Arm Knitting – Infinity Scarf

Have you ever heard of arm knitting? I had heard that it wasn’t difficult to do and I’ve been wanting to make myself an infinity scarf so I started looking into it. I saw that there were actually quite a few tutorials online so after buying some yarn I spent my last snow day working on it. The YouTube video that really helped with this whole process can be found here. It is a little tricky at the beginning, I had to pause and rewind the video multiple times and even restarted more than once, but once you get the hang of it it gets easier and easier. Here are some pictures I took while making the scarf, but for real instructions definitely watch the video!

You basically work the yarn back and forth from one arm to the other.

Once the scarf was long enough to wrap around my neck twice I binded (is that the correct word for past tense of binding off?) off and then used the tails to close the ends together and create the loop.

It came out a little crooked – I think I ended up with extra stitch or two at some point during the middle, but not bad for my first try! What do you guys think? Have you ever done arm knitting?
