Valentine’s Day Nails
Okay, my latest DIY nail art turned out much better than last time! Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I thought I would try my hand at some hearts on my nails to be festive. Also, heads up, I’ll be posting a couple different Valentine’s posts this week ranging from food to looks etc. so keep an eye out!

Originally, my “vision” was to have either pale pink nails and red hearts or red nails and pink hearts. However, when I bought these Sally Hansen pens, red was sold out so I bought this bright pink shade instead. I wasn’t sure how it would show up on red nails so I decided to go with pale pink nails and white and bright pink hearts.
I used Wet n Wild’s Megalast polish in “Sugar Coat” which is a pale pink and has a very thin consistency. I had to do 3 coats to get it to the opacity that I wanted.

Once that was dry, I drew a pink heart on my middle fingers and a white heart on my ring fingers. I decided not to put hearts on every finger cause that would just be heart overload.

Once the hearts were dry, I finished the look off with a Revlon top coat.

I still need to work on making my nail art neater, but that’s all a matter of practice so my hands are steadier. Oh and being able to draw with my left hand. I count it as a success since I didn’t have to redo it multiple times like my doomed snowflakes last time!
